Parent Login - https://ma-lowell.myfollett.com/aspen/logon.do
We are excited to announce our transition to a digital platform, marking the launch of our parent portal on Aspen. This portal serves as a valuable resource for parents to closely monitor their child's academic progress and attendance. It is a key initiative prioritized by our leadership team, aimed at enhancing parent engagement.
We firmly believe that the introduction of our portal will achieve the following:
- Empower students to take ownership of their academic journey.
- Foster improved communication between parents and teachers.
- Strengthen the vital connection between the school and home, ultimately benefiting our students' education and development.
We are enthusiastic about this effort and eagerly anticipate the ongoing enhancement of our efforts to strengthen the connection between our school and your home.
Thank you for your ongoing support, and we look forward to a productive and engaging school year.
MCAS Parent Information - State Testing Collaboration for Your Child's Success
As we approach the upcoming state testing period, I wanted to reach out to emphasize the significance of this assessment and the crucial role that collaboration between parents and educators plays in ensuring your child's success.
State testing provides us with valuable insights into your child's academic progress and helps us tailor our instructional approaches to better meet their needs. The results not only reflect individual achievements but also contribute to the overall evaluation of our school's educational effectiveness. Therefore, we must work together to support your child during this important period.
Here are a few ways in which you can assist in preparing your child for the upcoming state tests:
Establish a Supportive Environment: Ensure that your child has a quiet and comfortable space for studying at home. Minimize distractions and encourage a positive attitude towards learning.
Regular Homework and Study Sessions: Encourage your child to complete homework assignments and engage in regular study sessions. Consistent practice reinforces classroom learning and boosts confidence.
Healthy Lifestyle Choices: A well-balanced diet, sufficient sleep, and regular exercise contribute significantly to cognitive function. Please help your child maintain a healthy lifestyle during this testing period.
Open Communication: Keep the lines of communication open with your child's teacher. If you have any concerns or questions, do not hesitate to reach out. We are here to support your child's academic journey.
Positive Reinforcement: Celebrate your child's efforts and achievements, both big and small. Positive reinforcement helps build confidence and motivation.
It is our shared commitment to your child's success that makes a significant impact on their educational journey. We believe that by working together, we can create an environment where every student can reach their full potential.
If you have any questions or if there is anything specific you would like to discuss regarding your child's preparation for the state tests, please feel free to contact me or your child's teacher.
Thank you for your ongoing support.

Butler Celebrates Arab American Heritage Month
Why do we celebrate Arab American Heritage Month?
This month, we honor the rich heritage, history, and hopes of the more than 3.5 million Arab Americans across our country who have helped write the American story and move our Nation ever forward embodying the truth that diversity has been and always will be our country's greatest strength.
The city of Lowell recognizes Cambodian American Month and recognizes the contributions of the Cambodian community. Asian American Pacific Islander month is officially the month of May and we will host our Cambodian New Year Celebration on May 24th Save the date!
As a school with a diverse staff, it is imperative that we stand in solidarity with our Arab American colleagues, students, and families. By coming together to celebrate Arab American Heritage Month, we reaffirm our commitment to creating a learning environment that celebrates diversity, promotes equity, and prepares our students to be global citizens.
Let us use this month as an opportunity to learn from one another, celebrate our differences, and cultivate a culture of inclusivity and understanding within our school community and beyond. Together, we can continue to honor the past, embrace the present, and shape a brighter future for all.
Butler Celebrates Asian American and Pacific Islander Month
Why we celebrate AAPI Month
As a school community, we recognize the significance of Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Month as an opportunity to celebrate the rich tapestry of cultures, traditions, and contributions of our AAPI community members. This month serves as a powerful reminder of the resilience, achievements, and diversity within the AAPI diaspora.
By acknowledging AAPI Heritage Month, we honor the stories of courage, perseverance, and innovation that have shaped our nation's history. It provides us with a platform to amplify AAPI voices, elevate their narratives, and foster a deeper understanding and appreciation of their experiences.
Celebrating AAPI Heritage Month is not just about recognizing the past; it's also about embracing the present and building a more inclusive future. It allows us to cultivate an environment of respect, empathy, and unity where all members of our school community feel valued and empowered to thrive.
As a school with a diverse staff, it is imperative that we stand in solidarity with our AAPI colleagues, students, and families. By coming together to celebrate AAPI Heritage Month, we reaffirm our commitment to creating a learning environment that celebrates diversity, promotes equity, and prepares our students to be global citizens.
Let us use this month as an opportunity to learn from one another, celebrate our differences, and cultivate a culture of inclusivity and understanding within our school community and beyond. Together, we can continue to honor the past, embrace the present, and shape a brighter future for all.
