Modified Arrival & Dismissal Plan for Heights High
Due to the ongoing cleanup at the Cedar-Lee-Meadowbrook site and the surrounding area from the fire on Friday, in cooperation with the fire and police departments, Heights High has developed an alternative plan for arrival and dismissal in order to ensure student and staff safety.
Arrival
- All traffic, including staff, will enter and exit the campus using Washington Boulevard. Security monitors will be present to direct traffic.
- Parents will not be permitted to drop their students off in the parking lot at this time. Students can be dropped off on Washington, Goodnor, or Lee. We ask that this is done efficiently while maintaining safety.
- Student drivers will not be permitted to park on Washington. They can use other side streets or the student-designated parking lot by CVS.
- Students will enter the building through Door 8 (football field side) or Door 1 (main entrance on baseball field side) and go through the ID check/OpenGate systems there.
- Door 8 will close at 8:15 a.m. Students who arrive after this time must go to Door 1 using the back side of the building (facing Washington) and will be taken to the mini auditorium for the security process.
- Staff will need to show their parking passes to enter the parking lot. All parking lots are available for staff to use.
- RTA has adjusted their routes according to the road closures.
Dismissal
- Students will use doors 1, 8, 19, and 14 to exit the building.
- Students will not be allowed to exit the building out of doors 2, 4, and 6.
Additional Notes
- Staff and students should anticipate delays due to the road closures, and plan to arrive early.
- Accommodations will be in place for students with special needs for both arrival and dismissal. These students will use Door 1.
- The front of the school and Door 4 are closed off until further notice. Students must stay away from Cedar Road, per the City.
- Sporting events will go on as scheduled. Cedar Road access will remain closed.
- There will be no off-campus lunch until further notice.
Trusted Adult Survey
Heights High Students, do you have a trusted adult in the building?
A trusted adult is any staff member whose actions and words make you (the student) feel safe, who you feel cares about you, respects you, and you would feel comfortable confiding in.
Please take a moment to complete the Trusted Adult Survey identifying at least one staff member you would call your trusted adult. Please do not select more than 5 trusted adults.

Students experience cooperative learning, develop self-confidence, and hear from professional women in science about their journeys. Students use campus science labs and stay in Wooster’s college dorms. Inability to pay should not be a barrier to attending camp, the program offers subsidized camp rates and financial aid scholarships.
The B-WISER and B-WISEST programs will take place from June 16 - 25, 2025. Registration deadlines are April 30 for B-WISER and March 31 for B-WISEST.
