Dear Families of the Bay
As we begin this new chapter together, we want to take a moment to express our commitment to supporting your child’s growth—academically, personally, and socially. Junior high is a transformative time, and we believe that holding high expectations is key to helping students reach their full potential.
To ensure success for all students, we ask for your partnership in upholding key school policies:
Attendance: Consistent attendance is essential for academic progress. When students are present and engaged, they have the opportunity to build the skills and knowledge they need to succeed.
Cell Phone Policy: To foster a focused learning environment, we enforce clear guidelines for cell phone use during school hours. Limiting distractions helps our students stay engaged and maximize their learning time.
Our collective goal is to keep students focused on academics and learning. Public education is about empowering all students with the tools they need to grow into thoughtful, capable, and responsible members of their communities. By working together, we can ensure that every student thrives in a safe, structured, and nurturing environment.
Thank you for your ongoing support and partnership.

Ms. G - Assistant Principal

MAPS Testing this Week
We’re excited to announce a special celebration for all junior high students who maintain or improve their MAP scores this term! This is a great opportunity to showcase your hard work and dedication. Remember, testing is just one way to show what you've learned, and we believe in your potential to succeed.
Here are a few tips to help you prepare:
Stay focused and pace yourself during the test.
Read questions carefully and review your answers if you have time.
Stay positive—you’ve got this!
The MAP (Measures of Academic Progress) test is a computer-adaptive assessment designed to measure a student’s academic progress and skills in key areas like reading, math, and sometimes science or language usage. It is widely used in schools to help teachers and administrators better understand each student's strengths, areas for growth, and overall academic development.
NO SCHOOL MONDAY JANUARY 20th- Honoring Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
This is a reminder that there will be no school on Monday, January 20, in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
Dr. King was a leader whose vision and courage transformed our nation. He championed equality, justice, and peace, reminding us that change is possible through nonviolence, unity, and perseverance. His legacy continues to inspire us to work toward a better future for all.
We encourage you to take time as a family to reflect on Dr. King's profound impact on our country and the ongoing importance of his work.
