Solar Eclipse on April 8th!
Over the past few weeks, GCPS has shared information regarding the Solar Eclipse that will occur on April 8th. We will have a regular school day from 8:15 - 2:45 pm. The eclipse will start at 1:45 pm and end at 4:21 pm. Shiloh ES has created a plan to allow all students to view the eclipse between 1:45 - 2:15 pm. We have safety eclipse glasses for each student. These will go home with the students as dismissal is during the eclipse.

Finally, GCPS shared an opt-out form via Parent Square. If you DO NOT want your child to participate in Shiloh ESās viewing, please make sure we know. Keep in mind that āopting outā only removes the child from participating in our viewing event from 1:45 - 2:15 pm. All students will still be going home during the eclipse; therefore, we will provide all students with glasses just in case.
Have a restful and joyous Spring Break. See you on Monday, April 8th!
