All Students Are Curious, Creative, and Confident Learners!
Dear Kendallvue Families,
We hope you had a frighteningly fun time at our Trunk or Treat event on Friday! It was truly a spooktacular success, thanks to the incredible efforts of our staff, students, and families. I was amazed by the creativity and enthusiasm shown in the trunk decorations and those amazing pumpkins!
We're excited to celebrate Halloween on Thursday! The parade will start at 2:00. If you would like to watch please join us by standing outside around the building. We will start with Preschool coming out first and the other classes will come out as the parade passes their classrooms. Students will go back to their outside classroom door. Adults will need to enter through the front door and sign in before going to classrooms for the parties. Students will be able to change into their costumes before the parade. We kindly request that:
Masks and Inflatable Costumes: Please have your child put these on just before the parade.
Weapons: Please refrain from sending any costume items resembling weapons.
Makeup: Please apply makeup at home before school starts.
Thank you for your cooperation. We look forward to a fun and safe Halloween celebration!
Please note that there will be no school on Friday, November 1st. This day is designated for teacher professional learning. Thank you again for your continued support and participation in our school events. We look forward to another fantastic week!
Cheers,
Bruce Lindsey

Halloween Information
Halloween Parties
Halloween Parties will be on 10/31. Students will dress in their costumes at 1:45 followed by a parade around the outside of the school at 2pm. Parents can wait outside their student's classroom door for the parade to begin. Classroom parties will begin after the parade. Please remember, as a "healthy school" we must have a balance of healthy options and treats for our parties.
Veterans Day Performance
Veterans Day is Coming!!
This November 11, the 4th & 5th grade students will celebrate the men and women who have served our country in the U.S. Armed Forces in honor of Veterans Day. Please plan to join us at 1:30 in the afternoon or at 6:30 in the evening. We gladly welcome any veterans or active service members from your family or from the wider community. The week of Veterans Day, we will display the photos of our veterans around the school.
We will also be reading the names of any veterans or active service members, whether or not they can be with us, in a giant Roll Call near the end of our program. Please follow this link to submit names & photos (feel free to submit as many as you like).
Email Mrs. Millard at linda.millard@jeffco.k12.co.us with any questions. We hope to see you there.
Information for Kendallvue Howlers - Grades 3-5
Look for a flyer in your student(s) Friday folder.
Dear Families of 3rd, 4th, & 5th Graders,
I am very excited to invite all 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students to join Kendallvue Howlers, our after school choir program. We will meet on Tuesday afternoons from 3:05-4:00 beginning November 12.
We will show off our fantastic singing at the Holiday Program in December, at the Bear Creek Area Choral Festival in April, we will give a concert here at school in May, and we will take at least one trip to spread our musical joy to our community.
To participate in Kendallvue Howlers, students and parents must agree to the following expectations:
Appropriate behavior. Just because it’s after school does not mean it’s time to be wild!
Attendance. After two unexcused absences I will assume you no longer want to sing with us. Your grownups just have to send me an email or a message on Dojo to excuse your absence (please scan the back of this letter to join the class).
Choir dues are $10. T-shirts are $5 (they’re the same every year, so if you have one that fits, you’re good!!). Please return the bottom of this letter with the right dollar amount to Mrs. Millard by November 8, and don’t forget to scan the back of this letter to join Kendallvue Howlers Class Dojo.
Thank you,
Linda Millard
