High School Fine Arts visits Putnam County Mural Artists
Recently, North Putnam High School Fine Arts students led by Mrs. Sims embarked on an inspiring tour of the vibrant murals around Putnam County. This unique field trip allowed the students to engage with public art in their own community, sparking creativity and fostering a deeper appreciation for local culture.
The murals, part of the Putnam County Mural Project, showcase a variety of themes and styles, highlighting the county's rich history and diverse artistic talent. Students were able to view these large-scale works firsthand and gain insights into the creative process from the artists and learn about the importance of public art.

Mrs. Kendra Mills - Mathematics Teacher - North Putnam High School
Hello! My name is Kendra Mills and I am so excited to have joined the North Putnam High School math team. Greencastle is my hometown and where I graduated from in 2013. I graduated from Western Governors University in January with my Bachelors in Secondary education/mathematics. Putnam county has always been my home and I am overjoyed to be helping educate the next generation. As an educator my goal is to simply make math a more approachable subject. I know many students do not look forward to attending their math class everyday, my hope is to change that.
In my spare time I love playing board games and card games with my friends. If I’m not spending time with friends, I’m at home, watching Disney movies with my husband and crocheting stuffed animals. I’m excited to spend this year getting to know my students and becoming part of the North Putnam family.
Mrs. Jana Boggess - Mathematics Teacher - North Putnam High School
Mr. Sam Smith - Instructional Assistant - North Putnam High School
I care deeply about this community and I am so excited to be a new IA at NPHS! As an IA, I have the opportunity to work with many students from different grades and classes. I love working with young people in the classroom and on the field/court. I coach youth baseball and football, as well as middle school football, and I am excited to be joining the varsity basketball program this year! I am also a volunteer firefighter at Russellville VFD. You might recognize my wonderful wife, Whitney, as your local pharmacist at Crossroads Care in Bainbridge! We have two amazing kids, Jeffrey and Jonas, as well as five dogs (you can see me holding Bear in the picture), two cats, and a gecko!
