Spring Conferences - THANK YOU
Thank you to everyone who contributed some items to the Staff Lounge this week to keep our staff nourished during the early morning and long afternoons of conference week! They appreciated it so much, as do we. And big thank you to Melissa Park and Traci Kennedy for providing dinner from Torchy’s for everyone on Wednesday night - we appreciate your support!
Skate City Spirit Night
Our next fun CME spirit night will be at Skate City, on March 13th! Bring the family for $7 admission and $5 skate rentals and re-live your childhood (especially if you grew up here - it hasn't changed a bit!!) while helping Copper Mesa earn a portion of your purchase! Hope to see lots of you there!!
Kona Ice
Now that the spring weather is coming back, so will the Kona Ice truck! Meet us out front of the school on March 14th to celebrate the start of Spring Break!
Next PTO Meeting
Our next PTO community meeting will be Friday, March 14th, in the CME cafeteria after drop off. We hope to see you there!
RSVP- Nutrition Services Parent Forum
You're invited to join members of the Nutrition Services team to learn more about our department, the programs we offer, and the reasons behind our work. We will be hosting three evening sessions across the district in March and April. These sessions will provide an opportunity for thoughtful discussion, feedback, and questions about our program.
Please note, registration is limited to 50 participants per session, so we ask that you sign up for only one event. The registration form will close on Friday, March 7th, at 2:00 pm. Confirmation emails will be sent based on the order of submissions and availability.
Inclusion Week
The SSN Team is excited to introduce Inclusion Week this year during the week of March 31st - April 4th! Each day that week we will be asking everyone to wear as much of the designated color to help celebrate people’s specified differences and neurodiversities. The last day we will be wearing an Autism Awareness (Love) T-Shirt that you can purchase below.
PLEASE GET YOUR ORDERS IN BY MARCH 13TH!
3/31 Monday - Blue Day - DiGeorge Syndrome
4/1 Tuesday - Purple Day - Turner Syndrome and Epilepsy
4/2 Wednesday - Orange Day - ADHD
4/3 Thursday - Green Day - Sensory Needs
4/4 Friday - Rainbow Day (Love Shirt) - Autism Awareness
We are very excited to educate and celebrate our students about several neurodiversities that make up our community. Thank you so much for your support!
If you have any questions, please contact Shelby Bryson (Ms. B) at sbbryson@dcsdk12.org
Volunteers Needed
We heard your thoughts on how the Fall Fundraiser went this year, and we’ve decided to switch things up for next year and run it ourselves! This will give us the opportunity to keep a significantly larger portion of the money that we raise so that we can use it on our school, our staff and our students. This does mean that we will need HELP! If you are interested in volunteering some of your time to help organize this event with us, please let us know at cmeapto@gmail.com. We will start planning likely over the summer, for the event to take place on September 19th. Any committee volunteer will be granted a free rock reservation to use next year! Thank you so much, in advance!
Spring Fundraiser
We need your help! We are looking for donations of auction items, such as sporting tickets (Broncos, Rockies, Buffs, etc), VRBO rentals, services provided by your company, etc. If your family has a connection, or you know of a local business owner that may have a connection, and would be interested in a tax deductible donation to CME, please let us know! Please email cmeapto@gmail.com.
Yearbook
Deadline to order and finish personalized pages is April 1st. The yearbook committee is putting a call out for photos this month so that they can put together an awesome yearbook for everyone! Please submit any fun photos, and order your yearbook, ASAP.

Watch D.O.G.S. (Dads of Great Students): Ongoing
Watch D.O.G.S. is a program that gives dads the opportunity to spend either a half or whole day in the building with their children. You will help in classrooms and go to lunch and recess with your child.
The purpose of the program:
- To provide positive male role models for the students, demonstrating by their presence that education is essential.
- To provide extra sets of eyes and ears to enhance school security and reduce bullying. All dads are encouraged to be a Watch D.O.G.S. Dad at least once a year.
KING SOOPERS CARDS
One of our biggest and easiest fundraisers has proven to be King Soopers Cards. In just over a year our total donation received is in excess of $15,000. If you haven’t registered your rewards number (phone number) yet, please do so, it’s quick and easy and a great way to earn funds for our school. This money helps us to pay for teacher and school grants and host some of our events.
