Monday, January 27th and Tuesday, January 28th will be BLOCK days. Monday will follow the 1,3,5,7 block sequence and Tuesday will follow the 2,4,6,8 block sequence. We will conduct an 11th grade class meeting on Tuesday, January 28th during 8th period. See attachment below for the revised Spring Semester Block Days.
A Note from the GCPS about February 7th: Due to the Digital Learning Days this week, February 7, 2025 (a previously scheduled DLD) will now be an in-person learning day unless there is a new weather event.
How your student can prepare for test taking—and what you can do to help
A student who is well rested and well fed and has a positive attitude about testing is best prepared for testing. You can help your student do his or her best by considering these tips:
- Make sure that your student is in school and on time on test days.
- Make sure your student gets a good night’s sleep and eats a healthy breakfast before each day of testing.
- Emphasize that you have confidence in his or her ability to do the best job possible.
- Remind your student to listen to the directions and read each question carefully during testing.
Plant the Moon Plant Mars Challenge
Seniors Khang Cung Ton, Dan Oh, and Seeun Park competed in the International Plant Mars competition during the fall semester. Together they designed an experiment to determine which soil additions best allowed beans to grow in simulated Martian regolith. Last week these students were honored at the awards ceremony for achieving the greatest amount of plant growth in the high school category. Congratulations to these remarkable seniors on their hard work!
Important Reminder: Chromebooks and Chromebook Chargers (previously posted)
Each day Seckinger students are expected to bring their fully charged Chromebook to use during their learning activities and to complete assignments/assessments.
Chromebooks and Chromebook chargers will no longer be available for a student checkout for the day. If a student forgets their Chromebook or charger, they need to call their parents and have them bring these items to the attendance office, located at the back of the building.
