GrammyAwards To Happen in Las Vegas
The Grammy Awards will take place in Las Vegas on April 3, 2022.
According to our three minutes of in-depth research, this is the first time the ceremony and broadcast have happened in Las Vegas.
The Grammys, of course, are presented by the National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences and recognize work in the music industry.
Shout-out to our fellow youths who have no idea what that object on the left is.
The star-studded event will be held at MGM Grand’s Grand Garden Arena. The CMT Awards were originally scheduled for April 3, but will be pushed back, according to Variety.
Trevor Noah, host of “The Daily Show,” will be the master of ceremonies at the 2022 Grammys, presumably because having someone funny host would distract from the music being highlighted.
The Grammy Awards were originally scheduled for Jan. 31 in L.A., but the Academy finally realized Las Vegas is much more awesome and decided to move the event to Sin City. There’s also a pandemic or whatever, which may have played a part in the postponement.
Mostly, every big event should be held in Las Vegas, and now the Grammys have no reason to ever return to the stupidly named Crypto.com Arena.

The move to Vegas on April 3 should ensure additional star power, and will also serve as a great opportunity for Vegas to steal the Grammys permanently.
Word is Grammy officials met with Resorts World executives to not only discuss the 64th Annual Grammy Awards, but also to float the idea of a Grammy Museum in Las Vegas, so watch for more on that in the future.
The Grammys have taken some heat over the last couple of years, with many criticizing the awards for being “exclusionary, especially to women and artists of color.”
High profile artists have bailed on the Grammys altogether, including The Weeknd. Other artists who have raised concerns about the Grammys include Jay-Z, Frank Ocean, Drake, Nicki Minaj and Kanye West.
According to Time magazine, the Grammys are facing three major hurdles to maintaining relevance: 1) Internal Strife, 2) A Globalizing Music Industry and 3) Fan Apathy. Thanks a lot, Twitter.
On the bright side, Las Vegas loves drama!
The Grammys will be broadcast live on April 3, 2022 (8:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m., live ET/5:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., live PT) on CBS.
The fact the Grammys will be broadcast from Las Vegas finally gives us a reason to watch, as we tend to only recognize about five percent of the bands receiving awards, and those are usually lifetime achievement awards.
Welcome to Vegas, Grammys. Behave yourself.
