Dear Bear Creek Families,
This special edition of the CUB HUB is to share some wonderful news!
Bear Creek is FULLY STAFFED for the 2024-2025 school year. The last piece of the staffing puzzle was finding the right fit for the role of campus counselor. My commitment was to seek the best candidate for our Cubs. It is with great excitement to announce that Patricia (Pat) Rios will join the Bear Creek Team. Mrs. Rios's bio:
Mrs. Patricia T. Rios
Born and raised in Houston, Texas,
I received my undergraduate B.S. in Kinesiology/Health and my M.A. in Educational Psychology from the University of Houston. I am also certified to teach Special Education and currently have my Statement of Eligibility to be an Educational Diagnostician.
Moving from the 4th largest city in the U.S. and The Energy Capital, my family and I adventurously moved to the Austin Area in 2007. I have worked in various school settings from Elementary through Adult Education, from inner city to rural and from public to charter schools. I sincerely believe that the education field is the most important profession and I admire and respect all of the hard work that is put into educating children.
When not at school, I strive to balance time with family, friends and fur babies while juggling work, personal and business endeavors. I am so excited and appreciative to work at Bear Creek Elementary this school year and I look forward to working alongside you and cultivating the strengths in one another, our students and community to make this year fun and healthy.

Here is the BCE STAFF SLIDEDECK for the 2024-2025 school year. We are excited to see you all at Meet the Teacher. On Thursday, August 15th at 10:00 am, you will receive an email from your child's homeroom teacher!
Please note the following important dates:
- Meet the Teacher: August 15th 5:00 - 7:00 pm
- First day of the new school year: August 20th
- Back to School Night 3rd - 5th grade: August 29th
- Back to School Night PK - 2nd grade: September 5th
And with these Back to School communications, please share them with you Bear Creek families. The data rollovers can be glitchy and we do not want anyone to miss important back to school information. If you are concerned you are missing emails, check the information in your child's registration portal.
