Important Information for New Students
Welcome to Toler! We are excited to have you as part of the Dolphin Family!
Please make note of the following dates and information.
School hours at Toler are from 9:05-3:35pm. Both the front (Baker Street) and back gate (Ticonderoga) open each day at 8:50am. Breakfast is available for all students; parents of UTK and Kindergarten students MUST accompany their child to the cafeteria. Once your student is done with breakfast, parents escort students to appropriate grade level line up area. A bell will ring at 9am and 9:05am. UTK students will walk down the ramp at 9:00am; first - fourth grade students will line up with their class in their classroom's designated area and wait for their teacher to pick them up at 9:05am. Fifth grade students report to the uppermost field and may walk or run laps; the 5th grade teacher(s) will pick kids up at 9:05am. EVERY Wednesday is a minimum day with dismissal at 12:50pm. If your student is in Primetime, primary students will be picked up from their classroom at dismissal (and, of course, accompanies to the morning line-up); upper grade students report directly to Primetime for roll after school.
UTK - IMPORTANT!
Please note, the first three weeks of school for ALL UTK students is from 9:05am - 12:30pm; the fourth week of school will follow the regular dismissal times (outlined above). These first three weeks are critical in helping our students build up stamina, become at home at Toler, establish routines and learn our campus. From Monday August 12-Friday, August 30th, dismissal for UTK will be at 12:30pm. Beginning, Tuesday, September 3rd (Monday, September 2nd is the Labor day Holiday), UTK will be full day. If your student is in Primetime, services from Primetime will be available throughout the first three weeks, everyday. However, we strongly suggest that you give your child time to "ramp up" to longer days. The first weeks of school can be tiring for all students, especially our four and five year old children.
New Student Orientation- PLEASE COME!
New Student Orientation, scavenger hunt - meet your teacher, see your classroom...
Will be held on Friday, August 9th from 10am-noon. There will be an in depth presentation by the principal in the Toler Auditorium at 10am. Information related to school policy, drop-off, pick-up, etc. will be shared. At this time, you will find out who your child's teacher is and what room they will be in. PTA is sponsoring a scavenger hunt; there will be a popsicle party at 11:30am. If you can not make the presentation, class lists will be sent home via email and posted on the Front Office door. The presentation will be posted on the website and a link will be sent home.
Communication
EVERY Sunday Evening - Toler Times!
Be sure that we have your correct email on file. EVERY Sunday evening the Toler Times is sent home via School Messenger. Be on the lookout. Important information about the week ahead is in the Toler Times. Smore newsletters include a translation button at the very top; newsletters can be translated into over 300 different languages. Additionally, messages are sent home as needed via School Messenger and teacher Dojos.

Maureen Olsker, our ESA is here to support all aspects of our school program. She can answer all general questions and helps to manage the school and principal's calendars. Mrs. Olsker can be reached at molsker@sandi.net

Mrs. Rodriguez, our Health Tech can answer all health related issues: medication, doctor's orders, etc. Mrs. Rodriguez will be in the office starting Monday, August 5th.

PRIMETIME
Toler has a fabulous Primetime Program (before and after school program). Primetime has a balanced approach to care that includes academic support, enrichment, social-character building skills and STEAM. Morning hours are from 7am-9:05am and after school hours from 3:35pm-6:05pm (with aligned minimum day hours).
