What is Wixie?

Wixie is a publishing and creativity platform that lets students share what they know through their art, their voice, and their writing. Student work is done in and stored in the cloud making it easy to access and share from different locations and devices.

1. Teachers Go to https://hcpss.me/
2. Click on the Wixie icon.
3. Log in with your active directory (your computer/email login credentials)

Wixie is web-based, so it is available on any of our computers as well as any tablet (free downloads from the app store). Students can even access it at home!

At school:

With Wixie, students can use paint tools, text options, clip art, and voice recording to create projects like digital books, ePubs, and printed comics that showcase their content knowledge.

Teachers are connected to students and classes and can create and assign work, develop activities, create rubrics, and evaluate projects for their classes. For example, with WIxie, teachers can:

• Create and assign activities designed to help them meet specific learning goals.
• Manage student work and progress, as well individualized and differentiate instructions
• Evaluate student projects.
