Johnston wins cross country district championships
Congratulations to Johnston’s girls and boys cross country teams for winning district championships and qualifying for the state meet on Saturday, Oct. 29 at Lakeside Golf Course in Fort Dodge. Johnston girls also placed six in the Top 15 as automatic individual state qualifiers. Olivia Verde was district champion & Alyx Woodley was runner-up.

Cheerleaders selected for All-State, Honor Squad
JHS seniors Shari Patterson and Emily Marshall were selected from 250 girls statewide for the 2022-23 All-State Squad! They will perform at halftime during the final two games of the boys state basketball tournament in March. They will also be joined by Ella Boes, a junior, on the state’s 2022 Honor Squad that will perform during halftime at the state football finals in November at the UNI Dome in Cedar Falls. The three were also chosen for the All-American Cheerleading Team.

The JHS production of "MacBeth" will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 4 and Saturday, Nov. 5 in the JHS auditorium Tickets for the fall play are $7 and can be purchased in advance through the Vanco Events website.
