Evergreen Elementary

Good evening, Evergreen families!

We have had an outstanding week here at Evergreen! Today we had our Wildcat Wow Assembly where students were recognized for their demonstration of Empathy! We also did drawings from our Wildcat Wow recipients for books! It was so exciting to see all the Wildcat Wow tickets students have earned!

On Monday we will have a new automated phone system when you call in that will assist you in getting to the correct location with the appropriate language. It will offer both English and Spanish options.

Our attendance today is very low, we have 20% of our students absent. Early release days have important learning happening, we need students to come to school every day unless they are sick! Today several students who were acknowledged for Empathy at the assembly were absent and it was so disappointing that we were unable to celebrate with them.

Monday, February 3, is our next PTSO meeting in our library at 5:15 pm. We hope to see you there!

Our Acceleration Team will meet this week on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 3:30-5 pm.

After School basketball for 3rd and 4th grade students is on Tuesdays for 3rd grade students and Thursdays for 4th grade students. It will continue through March 4th. Students must be registered to attend.

We have Marimba after school on Tuesdays! Students must have a permission slip signed to attend.

Our goals are improving reading skills and attendance! Two ways you can help are reading time at home daily and prioritizing school attendance.
