Subject Taught: Middle School Math/HS Electives

Hobbies/Interests: I have coached track and field for several years. I will be coaching Special Olympics Track in the Spring. I recently started learning to play Golf. I have always been a very competative Putt Putt Golf player.

Teaching Experience: 30 years of teaching all Subjects. Math is my favorite.

Why you wanted to teach at ACE: Building relationships with my students has always been important. I also like to be challenged. Coming to ACE has given me the opportunity for both. Students at ACE are great! This has been one of my favorite schools so far.

Edgenuity Course Grade Breakdown Information

RELATIVE GRADE – This is the grade that goes on the transcript.

At the end of the semester, this grade will reflect ALL GRADED assignments, including missing assignments and the semester exam. It is suggested that you only look at this grade at the end of the semester once the final exam is completed.

End-of-Course counts for 20% of the Final Grade for 2nd Semester

ACTUAL GRADE

This is the grade used to monitor progress throughout the semester. This is the overall grade adjusted for progress if the student is behind on coursework. This grade calculates late/missing work into the average.

OVERALL GRADE

This grade indicates the average of the completed and shows us the mastery of the content and skills achieved on the work that is completed. If the student falls behind, as you begin to catch up, the ACTUAL GRADE will rise and should match the OVERALL GRADE.

DAILY GOAL

This is the daily commitment needed to make in each course to finish coursework by the end of the semester.
