WHAT TO EXPECT ON MONDAY, NOV. 25TH

TURKEY TROT & FAMILY FEST DAY

TURKEY TROT

The Annual Turkey Trot occurs on the Monday before Thanksgiving. Each program (K/1, 2/3. 4/5) takes a turn 'trotting' a course set up on Cabot Field. 2 winners will be declared for each grade . The Trot is optional for students. CASP Parents are encouraged to enter the Parent Turkey Trot and/or cheer in the stands. The Turkey Trot begins at approx. 3:15 p.m. on Cabot Field. Students who do not regularly attend CASP on Mondays may participate in our race if they are accompanied by an adult.

FAMILY FEST

The Annual Family Fest and Award Ceremony follows the Turkey Trot inside Cabot School for CASP students and their families. After the ceremony a variety of Thanksgiving themed activities, including arts & crafts and gym games, are offered in the lunchroom, mural lobby, and gym. Students who do not regularly attend CASP on Mondays may participate in Family Fest if they are accompanied by an adult.

FAMILY-FRIENDLY ACTIVITIES

Come enjoy a fun, festive day with CASP Staff and Families while celebrating Thanksgiving! This day is a highlight on the CASP Calendar each year. Please come and take part in this annual and free tradition, including a pie eating contest for adults.

Annual Support Cabot Families in Need

During the Holidays

CASP will soon be accepting donations to support Cabot families experiencing hardship this holiday season. Money donated will be used to purchase food gift cards prior to the Thanksgiving Holiday. This effort is in collaboration with Cabot School Social Worker, Kerri Fahey. We can make a difference in the lives of people in our community. Your generosity is greatly appreciated! Look for an upcoming Smore Newsletter from our Director, Carly, regarding donation dates. Donations may be given in person at the "sign out" table in the mural lobby. Cash, check, and Venmo will be accepted. Make checks payable to Cabot After School, Inc.

REMINDERS

CLOTHING & WEATHER

Students should dress according to forecasted weather.
CASP goes outdoors as much as possible and students need appropriate clothing.
We suggest layering clothes to adjust to variable temperatures for active play and sports.
LABEL CLOTHING! We return labeled items found at the end of day to students directly, instead of Lost & Found.
