Loving God,
As we begin this new term, we ask for your guidance and blessings. Help us to approach each day with open hearts and minds, ready to learn, grow, and share your love with one another.
Grant our students the courage to embrace new challenges and the wisdom to make good choices. May they discover the joy in learning and find friendship and kindness in their journey together.
Bless our teachers with patience, creativity and enthusiasm as they guide and inspire our students to be the best versions of themselves. May their hard work bear fruit in the growth and success of each child in their care.
We also ask for your protection over our school community. Keep us safe and healthy and help us to support and encourage one another in all that we do.
As we move forward this term, may we always seek to live out your teachings and be a light to those around us.
Amen

Dear Parents and Members of our School Community,
Welcome to Term 4!
I hope you all had a restful and enjoyable break, filled with moments of relaxation, laughter, and family time. Now that we are back, we stand at the beginning of an exciting term ahead – one that promises many opportunities for growth, learning and celebration.
Term 4 is always a significant time in the school year. It’s a time to reflect on how far we’ve come as we prepare to finish the year on a strong note. Our students have grown so much already, and I look forward to seeing how they continue to shine in these final weeks of the year.
For our Year 6 students, this term holds special importance as they prepare for their transition to secondary school. We are proud of their leadership and the example they set for our younger students, and we look forward to celebrating their achievements as they conclude their time at St Denis.
Our teachers are excited to continue to provide rich learning experiences that will inspire and challenge every student. As always, we are here to support each child in their journey, helping them discover new skills, deepen their knowledge, and make lasting memories along the way.
I would like to take a moment to express my thanks to all our families for your ongoing support as I step into the role of Principal this term. Your encouragement and trust means the world to me, and I feel truly privileged to lead this wonderful school community. I am here to support you in any way I can, whether that be through fostering your child’s education or addressing any questions or concerns you may have. Please know my door is always open and I look forward to working together to ensure a successful and joyful school experience for all our students.
I encourage everyone to make the most of this term – participate fully, show kindness, and be proud of what you achieve.
Together, we will make Term 4 a positive and fulfilling experience for all.
Here’s to a fantastic term ahead!

STUDENT WELLBEING WEEK
I would like to extend a HUGE thank you to Miss Murphy for her incredible effort in coordinating our Student Wellbeing Week during the last week of Term 3. It was a tremendous success, and the positive energy across the school was undeniable!
The students absolutely loved the wide range of activities that focused on their emotional, physical, and mental wellbeing. The disco outside the technologies/music room was a crowd favourite at every break! It was wonderful to see our students fully engaged, smiling, and taking part in activities that reminded them of the importance of looking after themselves and each other.
ATHLETICS CARNIVAL
A big thank you to Mrs McNamara for her outstanding work in coordinating the St Denis Athletics Carnival. The day was an absolute success, running seamlessly from start to finish, and it was a true celebration of school spirit, teamwork, and athleticism. Her meticulous planning and attention to detail ensured that every event flowed smoothly, allowing both students and staff to fully enjoy the day. It was wonderful to see our students giving their best efforts in each race and event, with smiles all around, cheering each other on and showing great sportsmanship.
For all the results, see Mrs Mac’s write up below!
CONGRATULATIONS
Congratulations to ex-St Denis student, Daniel Di Dio who will be Head Boy of Servite College in 2025. Fantastic news!
COLOUR RUN
I would like to express my deepest gratitude to our amazing P&F for organising and coordinating the St Denis Colour Run. What a phenomenal success it was! The event ran so smoothly, and it was a fantastic day of fun, community spirit, and generosity for all involved.
We are thrilled to share that we raised over $22,000 – an outstanding achievement! Even more inspiring is the fact that half of these funds will be donated to MNDWA, supporting such a worthy cause. This speaks volumes about the heart of our school community and the kindness and compassion we are teaching our students. The Colour Run itself was filled with laughter, excitement, and of course, a lot of colour! It was wonderful to see the joy on the students’ faces as they ran through the course, cheered on by staff and families. The success of the event is a testament to your dedication and the effort you put into ensuring everything was well-organised and enjoyable for everyone.
Thank you to our P&F for your tireless work behind the scenes and for making this event not only a fundraising triumph but a joyful day that brought our whole school community together.
FOOTSTEPS DANCE
The Footsteps dance program will be kicking off this term for students in Kindy to Year 6. Our students will have the opportunity to develop their dancing skills, have fun, and get active through this engaging program. We are particularly looking forward to seeing all their hard work come to life during the showcase performance at our end of year Christmas concert. It’s sure to be a highlight of the term!
P&F (PARENTS & FRIENDS) MEETING
Our next P&F Meeting is scheduled for Monday 21 October at 6.00pm. We would love to see you in attendance.
