APRIL 11TH 2025

FROM THE DESK OF MR. LEFFERT
Class Preference Forms. Students in 6th and 7th grade will work with their counselors this week in their social studies classes to establish their elective course preferences for the 2025-2026 school year. Students will automatically receive an email with their course preference selections. They will be encouraged to send that email to their parents to encourage discussions at home regarding course preferences and student interests. Please remember that students will be registered for their choice classes in the order that their parents/guardians complete returning enrollment through Skyward. As classes fill up student will be given their next highest selection. We are at almost 30% enrollment completed for the upcoming year.

Your Voice. Your Vote. Your Schools.
At Piper USD 203, we’ve always gone the distance—for our students, our athletes, and our future. Over the years, our community has stepped up to invest in schools and programs that help all kids thrive, both in the classroom and on the field.
But one challenge continues to hold us back: voter turnout.
In 2007, 2018, and 2022, voters approved bond initiatives to support growth and improvement. Yet in 2015, a $67.5 million bond failed—by just 347 votes—delaying vital upgrades that could have directly benefited our students.
As of the beginning of Day 5 of Early In-Person Voting, just over 406 voters have cast their ballot in the 2025 Special Election—only 3.73% turnout so far.
We need your voice.
If you live in USD 203, Election Day is Tuesday, April 15. You must vote at your assigned polling place to receive your correct ballot. Find yours online at WycoVotesKck.gov/VoterView.
Let’s show up for our kids. Vote early or vote on Election Day—just don’t miss your chance to shape Piper's future.
