Greetings Hopkins Elementary Families,

We have had a fantastic start to the 2024-2025 school year! It’s hard to believe it’s September already. This month is National Attendance Month, and we want to emphasize how vital daily attendance is for student success. Remember, students are categorized as chronically absent if they miss 10% of the school year—just two or more days at this point. Truant students miss 3 unexcused days in a row or five unexcused days. Please ensure all absence excuses are submitted to the attendance office within 48 hours.

Just to remind you, our arrival and dismissal procedures are in place for safety and efficiency. The car lane is open from 7:00am to 7:30am. After 7:30am, please bring students to the front office entrance, as they will be marked tardy. Staff will be available until 7:45am to assist late arrivals. Dismissal begins at 2:30 PM. Parents in the car lane should remain in their vehicles while students enter from the right side. If you need to buckle in your child, please pull all the way up to keep the lane flowing smoothly.

All SIC/PTO meetings are held on the last Wednesday of each month. The next meeting will be held on Wednesday, September 25, at 5:30pm at Hopkins Elementary School.
