Multiple Sessions
Series Structure
Each series is comprised of three sessions, each separated by one week.
For each of the series, the first session will be focused on the guidance from the United States Department of Education (USED) and the resources created by the Council of Chief State School Officers (CCSSO). The second session, hosted by the National Association of English Learner Program Administrators (NAELPA), is designed to allow participants space to collaborate and thought partner with peers/colleagues from across the nation. Finally, the third session will feature LEAs and SEAs that have implemented the components shared in session 1 and will share their learnings and advice.

Series 1: Principles of Effective EL Programs
This three-part webinar series will focus on guiding principles of EL programs. The main areas of focus include the creation of rigorous EL program models, cross departmental collaboration, staffing and professional learning, and family and community engagement.
Series 2: Implementing Effective EL Programs
This three-part webinar series will concentrate on the following key questions regarding the resources and personnel that are needed to implement evidence-based Language Instruction Education Programs (LIEP). We will focus on shared responsibility and supporting LIEP integrity. In addition, we will explore how states, districts, and schools can support shared responsibility for LIEP implementation across remote, hybrid, and in-person learning environments.
