Donation Request
From time to time, young students may have occasional accidents or spills during the school day and having extra clothing available in the health room helps us respond to those situations discreetly.
We are currently in need of new and unopened packs of underwear for both boys and girls in various sizes. Your donation can be dropped off at the front office during school hours. We greatly appreciate your generosity.

Principal Letter
...
Dear NRE Community,
This past week, we had a truly wonderful Community Breakfast with Buddies, organized by our fabulous PTO. It was heartwarming to see so many parents, students, neighbors, and special guests come together to celebrate our amazing community. A big thank-you to everyone who joined us!
We had a wonderful week last week despite a full moon on Friday the 13th! Our students are doing a great job and we hope that with just four days left in the semester, our students will keep working hard, stay kind to themselves and others, and finish strong. Please help remind them of this.
As you know by now, this will be my last week at NRE as your principal. While it is bittersweet to say goodbye to a community I deeply love, I am excited about continuing to be part of this wonderful community as a parent and neighbor.
I am thrilled for Erin Lehnert who will be stepping into the role of Interim Principal. Erin is an exceptional leader who has been by my side for every decision over the past three years. Her dedication to our shared vision of providing the best possible environment for students to learn and thrive makes her the perfect fit for this role. Together, we’ve worked to create a powerhouse school that nurtures students, supports staff, and fosters kindness, growth, and success.
Though leaving is not easy, my family is ready for me to be more present in this next chapter of life. I am grateful for the incredible memories and relationships we’ve built together, and I look forward to cheering NRE on from the sidelines.
Thank you for your unwavering support, kindness, and trust.

Bond Next Steps
Thank you again Douglas County for saying yes to 5A -- a $490 million Bond.
We are hitting the ground running getting ready to use the Bond money, exactly as intended by voters. At its November meeting, our Board of Education approved contracts for architects and owners representative contracts. We are also assembling our internal Bond team, including a bond director who will ensure that we are the best stewards of your taxpayer dollars and are incredibly transparent about how the money is being spent.
Here's where to find some information about how the Bond money will be used.
- How each school will benefit and estimated completion dates for projects.
- Renderings for new school construction, an expansion to Sierra Middle School, and the creation of Phase 2 of the Legacy Campus.
- Thank you videos.
Additional data and information will be added to the funding website after the holidays!
Our citizens' oversight committee (Mill Bond Oversight Committee) is still seeking a few more volunteer members. Learn more on their webpage.
