Dear Parents,

I would like to reach out with some upcoming dates for re-enrollment for next school year. All parents will need to complete the re-enrollment link through their FACTS account in early February. This must be done by February 21st, or you will be assessed a late fee. Cardinal Pacelli parents with a student NOT currently enrolled will be sent an email on January 17th to complete the online application for any siblings not currently enrolled.

On behalf of the Faculty and Staff, we would like to extend our heartfelt thanks for your generous Christmas gift. Your kindness and support are deeply appreciated, and we are truly grateful for your thoughtfulness. Wishing all of you a joyful and prosperous new year!

With temperatures rising toward the end of the week, our hope is to get students outside for recess. Students will be playing on the blacktop/parking lot until the snow melts and the playfield is clear. Please slow down and drive carefully when circling the school property especially during Morning and Afternoon Recess times. Thank you!

Catholic Schools Week is almost here! We need your help to make it special.

Chick-fil-A Orders due by Friday, Jan. 17th

We’ll celebrate students with a Chick-fil-A lunch on Thursday, Jan. 30th. Please fill out the order form for each child by this Friday! If your child doesn't want to order anything, be sure to pack their lunch on 1/30. Contact Mikel Quast (mikel.jenna@gmail.com) or Courtney Ragland (courtney.d.ragland@gmail.com) with questions.

Sign up to help with various activities during Catholic Schools Week:

*We especially need help covering classrooms for Teacher Appreciation Lunch Jan. 29th.

Please sign up to cover a classroom while teachers enjoy their Maplewood lunch! After signing in at the office, volunteers will go directly to their assigned classroom for instructions. You'll escort the class to the cafeteria, supervise their 20-minute lunch, then take them outside for recess until it's time to return to class, where you'll wait with them until the teacher arrives. (Note: 7th & 8th grade have recess before lunch. Early learners eat in their classrooms, followed by recess at the small playground.)

Contribute to the Teachers Lounge & Treats

Help stock the teachers' lounge with beverages and treats throughout the week by purchasing items from our Amazon Wish List. Please have your items shipped directly to the gift registry.

Catholic Schools Week Kickoff Mass & Open House

The week begins with 9 a.m. Mass on Sunday, Jan. 26, followed by an open house and coffee & donuts in the Atrium. Stay tuned for more details on theme days, the La Soupe food drive, and more! *If you are interested in volunteering as a tour guide for prospective families, please contact Julie Florio.

The talent show originally scheduled for Feb. 6th has been postponed due to schedule conflicts. We are working on securing a new date in March or April and will announce it once confirmed.

Beauty and the Beast: Parent Volunteers Needed!

We have several volunteer opportunities for parents who want a behind-the-scenes look at rehearsals leading up to the show in February. There are also spots available to assist on the day/night of the performance. Please consider signing up to help make this show a success! Signup to volunteer here!

It is time to think ahead to warmer weather and sign up for spring sports! This registration is for Kindergarten - 8th grade (Cubs Basketball/Soccer will come at a later date).

The registration window closes midnight on January 27th.

Late registrations will not be accepted. Once the registration window closes, our coordinators will be hard at work creating the teams, scheduling evaluations and submitting paperwork to the leagues.

Due to the cold weather, the Popcorn Sale will be put on hold for the next couple of Fridays. lt will resume on January 31.

Help the 8th grade class raise funds for their trip to Washington DC this March!

Each Friday until the trip, look for the class of ’25 at dismissal to purchase freshly popped popcorn for $2 a box.

Cash and payment through Venmo accepted!

It’s a great way to end your school week & help each 8th grader subsidize the cost of the trip!
