Hardyston Summer Band Program
Hardyston is offering Summer Band Lessons at no charge to parents. It is the responsibility of the parent/guardian to obtain a working instrument for their child. To sign-up please use this link - Hardyston Summer Band Program Sign-Up. The deadline to sign-up is Tuesday, June 18th 2024. Please email Miss Vinkman at kvinkman@htps.org if you have any questions.
- This program is open to all incoming 4th-8th grade students.
- Students will receive one private/small group lesson per week for 30 minutes.
- It is the responsibility of the parent/guardian to obtain a working instrument for the student. - It is recommended to rent an instrument through The Music Den. Here is a link to their rental information - The Music Den
- The program is 5 weeks long from July 1st - August 1st .
- The schedule will be created once students have signed up.
- Current band students are encouraged to participate to maintain and improve their instrumental skills over the summer.
- Students can join band and start an instrument during the Summer Band Program. Students can start band for the first time this summer.
- Incoming 4th grade students are encouraged to participate in the Summer Band Program to gain a good foundation for their first year of band.
Special Message from the Nurse's Office
Dear Middle School Parents and Guardians of incoming 5th graders, incoming 6th graders, incoming 7th graders, and incoming 8th graders,
Your child has been given four medical forms for the 2024-2025 school year. The forms should be filled out COMPLETELY and returned by August 15th. All forms can be dropped off to the Middle School during the summer, Monday - Thursday until 3:00pm.
**IMPORTANT** certain medical forms will be completed on the parent portal in August; you WILL NOT be able to view your child’s schedule until all questions have been answered.
ALL INCOMING 6TH GRADERS are required to have Tdap and Meningococcal vaccines. Proof of vaccination is due September 1st.

Community Service Events
Starting on June 22, At 10 a.m. join the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church for a study of what the Bible says about our responsibility to take care of the Earth. Then join them as they do a clean-up/work day in Hardyston and another local park for an hour or two. The study/work days will happen once a month so you can join as often as is convenient.
