Dear FSD 157-C Families,

In these first few days, it has been wonderful to see our students settling into their routines, making new friends, and diving into learning with enthusiasm. Our teachers have been hard at work fostering a positive classroom environment, and the energy in our schools has been palpable. We can already see the strengths and creativity of our students, and we can't wait to see how they continue to grow this year.

As a reminder, on the last student attendance day of each month, you’ll receive this FSD E-News newsletter via email. Along with a brief message from me, you will have access to each school’s newsletter, the virtual backpack, and important updates from our Board of Education meetings. To avoid inundating your inbox, we work to consolidate many of our messages to this modality. In addition, please see our communication document to determine how else we’ll be in touch with district updates.

Finally, our team truly enjoyed seeing our Grand Prairie families at Curriculum Night this week. We look forward to presenting to Chelsea and Hickory Creek families next week for each school’s respective Curriculum Night as well.

At this month's Board of Education meeting held Tuesday, August 13, the school principals spoke about the themes for the school year, and Dr. LeeAnn Taylor presented the tentative fiscal year 2024-2025 budget. A full recap may be found here.

Join us for the second annual TigerTrot 5k! The family fun run, hosted by FSD 157-C's Health and Wellness Committee, will take place on Saturday, September 7 from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm at Breidert Green in Frankfort. Register here!
