Highlights of the week!
Dear Coleman Families,
Students are still buzzing with excitement from our Silly String Assembly last Friday! Thank you for helping us raise $1,024 for our United Way Campaign. Congratulations to Ms. Wood's class for being our top fundraiser. They, along with some friends, made sure I was thoroughly covered in silly string!
Also on Friday, students participated in their family groups. A family group consists of 12-15 students from different grade levels. Each group chose a team name, selected a team color, and took part in mini field-day events aimed at building community and collaboration skills. Family groups will meet monthly to complete challenges and develop leadership skills.
This week, our Warriors participated in the Great ShakeOut Earthquake Drill on Thursday at 10:17 a.m. Additionally, our first-grade Warriors wrapped up their unit on the human body, where they explored bones, muscles, and organs.
Don’t forget to mark your calendars for next Friday! PTO is hosting Trunk or Treat from 5:30 - 7:00 p.m. Prizes will be awarded for the best-decorated trunk and best student costume. We can’t wait to see our families all dressed up for the fun!
Have a wonderful weekend!
