It is so hard to believe that we are in a countdown of the 2023-2024 school year coming to an end. We have so many exciting activities that are coming up and we are so excited to end this year celebrating a year of laughter, learning, friendships, and fun!

Field Day is coming up soon! We will have field day on Tuesday, May 28th. K-2 will be outside for activities in the morning and then grades 3-5 will be participating in the afternoon. Thank you to all of those who have signed up to volunteer for that day. We cannot wait for a day full of fun!

We are so excited to welcome the Class of 2024 Seniors who attended Flint Lake. They will come back to Flint Lake for a senior walk and clap-out as well as have some time to see their former teachers and administrators. Dress your student in Flint Lake or Valpo gear for our celebration!

We are thrilled to invite you to our upcoming Community Night at Valparaiso High School! This event promises to be an evening filled with fun, sports, delicious food, and great company, and we would love for you to join us. Whether you're a sports enthusiast or just looking to connect with fellow community members, there will be something for everyone to enjoy. It's the perfect opportunity to bring your family and friends for a memorable evening out. We can't wait to see you there and make this event a success together. Feel free to spread the word and bring along anyone who might be interested. Let's make this Community Night one to remember!

From our VCS School Nutrition Team - Food is expensive. Here are two ways you can stretch your budget during the summer when school is out and affordable, healthy school meals aren't available. Indiana Sun Bucks is a new, permanent program to help families afford food during the summer when their children lose access to school meals. Households will receive an automatic one time payment of $120 for each child that is currently eligile for free or reduced price meals. Sun Meals are free to any child 18 and younger. If your children are not receiving free or reduced price meals and you think you may qualify for Sun Bucks, apply at: https://indianasunbucks.com/welcome

The school year is quickly coming to a close. If your child has medication at school, please make sure to complete the form sent home with them indicating what you would ike done with the remaining medications at the end of the school year. We cannot send medication home with a students under 18 years old. If you need another form, please call the office and we can send a second copy home with your student.
