Congratulations to our National Beta Club members and our keynote speaker, former Ivy Creek student, Addison Green!

On Thursday, May 1st our 5th grade Beta Club members were inducted into the National Beta Club.
The Beta Club motto is "Let Us Lead by Serving Others." This year our Beta Club Members have truly done that. They have collectively completed a total of 838 hours of Community Service. We are so very proud of them.

Always remember... “No matter how small you are, or how old you are, YOU can make a difference in the life of others.”

As this school year comes to a close, 4th grade students are wrapping up the year learning that everyone can be a hero and "Ordinary kids can do extraordinary things." Students have developed Public Service Announcements supporting two local organizations and are encouraging everyone to spread kindness through a Kindness Campaign. Everyone has an opportunity to participate at no cost to you or your family.

Should you have a moment in the busyness of this season, please allow your child to sort through your kitchen pantry for canned or boxed goods or your family members to go through their closets to send their outgrown but gently used items to school. Ivy Creek Elementary 4th Grade

Join us for our final PTA General Meeting of the school year! We will be sharing highlights from an incredible year—including the successful fundraising for our new AI STEM Room—and voting in our new PTA board members for next year. It’s a great opportunity to stay informed, connect with other parents, and have a voice in shaping our school’s future. We hope to see you there!

You are invited to experience our students' inspiring artwork at our Fine Arts Night at Ivy Creek on Thursday, May 8th at 5:30 PM. The Ivy Creek Chorus Club and Ivy Creek Dance Club will perform immediately following the General PTA Meeting. Come celebrate with us!

The Book Mobile will visit Ivy Creek on Tuesday, May 13th! ALL of our current Ivy Creek students along with our upcoming Kindergarten students will receive a free book from the Bookmobile! We need volunteers to help students make their selections, restock books and assist with crowd control. This is a VERY fun experience! Please sign up if you are able to help: Book Mobile Volunteers!

The mission of the Book Mobile program is to put books into kids' hands. The two GCPS Book Mobiles visit an average of 140 Gwinnett schools each year and have over 5,000 books on the shelves. The program relies on donations and sponsorships to purchase the new books. Please consider contributing to this literacy initiative by donating here. You will receive a receipt in the mail for your donation.

Attention Families! Our lost and found is overflowing and as we near the end of the year, we will be getting ready to donate the leftover items. We plan to have the items out for you to see at Fine Arts Nights this Thursday and students can certainly check while at school. All remaining items will be donated on Monday May 12th. Come look for your jacket!

All student library and book room books are due on Friday, May 9th. If the books on your child's account are lost or damaged, please email kimberly.sharp@gcpsk12.org and we'll add the fee to MyPaymentsPlus. Please watch for overdue notices and payment requests for lost or damaged books as needed. Thank you for your support!

We will not be able to accommodate visitors for lunch May 16th-21st due to special events. Please make arrangements to enjoy lunch with your children another time. Thank you!

For the last three days of school before the break (May 19th-21st,) ALL buses will be leaving Ivy Creek at 2:55, so students will arrive home up to 20 minutes earlier than normal. This is due to the high school exam schedule. Please plan accordingly!

Students who ordered before the deadline will receive their yearbook in May!

If you missed the ordering deadline, you can still place an order on https://www.treering.com using PassCode: 1016941015053998. However, there is no guarantee that your book will arrive before the end of the school year.

Our Autism and Pre-K programs are offering an exciting new opportunity for parents to show your love to teachers and staff. Jag Junk is a snack delivery service that began in January where staff can place snack orders for themselves, or peers. We are so excited to expand the program offering parents the opportunity to order snacks (or Jag Junk Bucks) to be delivered to teachers and staff.

As a means of improving results for children with disabilities, the Georgia Department of Education is required to survey parents of students receiving special education services. If you are the parent/guardian of a student receiving services in Gwinnett County you are eligible to participate in this year's survey process. This is an opportunity for your voice to be heard. The feedback you share will help guide local schools' efforts to improve Special Education services and results for children and families. The survey is available on-line and can be accessed on the Georgia Department of Education website. Survey responses must be submitted by May 31, 2025. Thank you for your input!

This school year is rapidly coming to a close!! We have many more exciting activities and celebrations ahead. Please volunteer if you can!

• Photo Opp Creation (week of May 12th) - We need to create 6 simple photo backdrops for our 5th grade celebration and have them completed by May 16th. Ideas and supplies provided.
