AMP STUDENTS EARN THE PRESTIGIOUS BAUMBERGER ENDOWMENT SCHOLARSHIP
Congratulations to Luke Anderson, Alaine Schorre, and Jacqueline Vivar on being selected as recipients of the 2024 Baumberger Endowment Scholarship. Each student was awarded a 4-year scholarship of up to $22,000 to be used at a Texas college or university.
JM FFA BOOSTER CLUB GENERAL MEETING - TUESDAY, MAY 7TH
The next monthly meeting of the FFA Booster Club will be Tuesday, May 7th at 6:30pm in the AMP Commons. All parents/guardians of AMP students are encouraged to attend as the major items of business will be the election of the 2024-2025 Booster Club Executive Board and the distribution of the 2023 AMP Livestock Expo Points Payout checks.

CAMPUS SAFETY REMINDER
The following measures are in place to provide safety to the JMHS campus and AMP Complex:
- NEISD has a closed campus policy. Students cannot leave campus during school hours, including lunchtime, without authorization from a parent/guardian, school administration, and obtaining a pass from the attendance office.
- Parents/guardians needing to make deliveries to AMP students during school hours must bring the items (school supplies, clothing, payments, food, etc.) into the AMP Administration office for delivery to students. We will not be allowing students to go into the parking lot to pick up deliveries.

ATTENTION JUNIORS
If you are interested in Senior Release for next school year, please come by the AMP Administration office and pick up an orange 2024-2025 Senior Late Arrival/ Early Release Guidelines and Procedures Form. You must meet the requirements listed on the form which will be validated Mrs. Purcell. Signatures by both you and your parent are required. If you have any questions, please email Mrs. Purcell (contact information above).

SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITIES
James Madison FFA Booster Club Scholarship Program
Deadline: May 3, 2024
Through the generous giving of donors and fundraising by the James Madison FFA Booster Club, the FFA booster club awards more than $15,000 in scholarships yearly to graduating AMP seniors that are active members in the James Madison FFA.
The 2024 James Madison FFA Booster Club Scholarship application is available for download at: https://agrisciencemagnetprogram.weebly.com/scholarship-program.html. Eligible applicants must be a graduating Senior, currently enrolled in an AMP course, and a member of the James Madison FFA.
The application deadline is May 3, 2024. Applications must be submitted to Mrs. Leita in room AG120 by this deadline.

James Madison PTSA Scholarship
Deadline: May 5, 2024
The Madison PTSA Senior Scholarship is offered to graduating seniors of James Madison High School in NEISD.
The 2024 PTSA Senior Scholarship is being awarded in memory of Mrs. Patricia Pettit, a former employee of Madison High School. It is by the generosity of the Pettit Family, that we are able to honor her memory by providing this opportunity to several students.
The 2024 award will be given to 5 students in the amount of $750 each. Payment will be made directly to the college or university the student is attending, after providing proof of enrollment.

Purpose
The purpose of this scholarship fund is to reward North East ISD students for their success in Career and Technical Education programs and to encourage students to further their education.
Eligibility
To be eligible for the Surita Wyatt Scholarship, one must be a North East Independent School District high school senior who has completed or is participating in one or more Career and Technical Education courses. There are two types of scholarship awards available. Four scholarships in the amount of $500 will be awarded to four seniors to further their education upon graduation from high school. In addition, one student will be awarded a $1000 scholarship and named the overall senior CTE student for NEISD.
2024 AMP AWARDS GALA
This year's AMP Awards Gala will be held on Thursday, May 16th at 6:30pm in the AMP Arena.
The annual gala is our opportunity to celebrate the many accomplishments that happened over this school year in the AMP and James Madison FFA. To name just a few, students will be recognized for their participation in Leadership Development Events, Career Development Events, Speaking Development Events, and Agriscience Fair.
We will also be recognizing our Star Greenhand FFA, Chapter FFA, and Lone Star FFA Degree members along with announcing the winners of our Proficiency and Supervised Agriculture Experience awards.
And money... The James Madison FFA Booster Club will be presenting scholarships to deserving graduating Seniors.
Looking forward to seeing you for the 2024 AMP Awards Gala this Thursday, May 16th at 6:30PM.
2024 AMP AWARDS APPLICATION
As we do at the end of each school year, the AMP recognizes student achievements from throughout the school year in many different areas.
The 2024 AMP Awards Application is now available for students to apply to 40 different award categories for recognition. For a student to be considered for any of the award categories, they must check the award area that they are applying for and briefly explain why they should receive the award. Students may apply for multiple award categories, however, must submit a separate award application for each category.

Award winners will be recognized at the 2024 AMP Awards Gala on Thursday, May 16, 2024.
JAMES MADISON FFA BOOSTER CLUB
The FFA Booster Club exists to organize and conduct fundraising activities to provide financial support to all students of the AMP in order to enhance the educational and agricultural experiences of the students. Parents/guardians can support the James Madison FFA Booster Club by making the AMP a family experience. This can be done through a variety of means such as volunteering of your time and talents, introducing the FFA Booster Club to corporate sponsors, or financially supporting the FFA Booster Club with donations or purchasing merchandise.
The next general meeting of the James Madison FFA Booster Club will be held on Tuesday, May 7th at 6:30PM at the AMP Complex.
