Principal Update
Dear Parents and Caregivers,
As we approach the end of Term 3, it’s wonderful to reflect on what has been an exceptional period for our school community. This term has been filled with remarkable learning experiences, exciting events, and valuable opportunities for students to grow both academically and personally. As we look back, we are proud of the achievements and milestones that have marked this term.
Academic Success and Engagement
This term, our students have demonstrated remarkable dedication and enthusiasm in their studies. From engaging classroom discussions to hands-on projects, the passion for learning has been evident in every corner of our school. We have seen impressive progress in various subjects, with students embracing challenges and showing resilience. Our teachers have been instrumental in creating a stimulating environment where curiosity thrives and academic excellence is celebrated.
Celebrating Achievements and Events
Term 3 has also been a vibrant time for school events. From book fair, Confirmation for our Year 6 students, Open Nights, Science incursion, Athletics carnivals the list goes on and on. Additionally, our Catholic Performing Arts Festival highlighted the incredible talent within our school, with performances and exhibitions that truly captivated our community.
Our annual athletics carnival is also a highlight in the school calendar, with many students participating in and excelling at various competitions. The spirit of teamwork and sportsmanship was evident in every event, reflecting the hard work and dedication of our student-athletes.
After School Play and Supervision
Parents please be aware that school supervision times are from 3:00pm-3:20pm in the pickup/drop off area. If you allow your child to play on the playground with their peers, note that you need to always ensure your child’s safety and that your child is playing appropriately with their friends as this is not a supervised area. I really love seeing many students play as this gives the parents time to connect and build community aspect of our school.
Celebrating Excellence in Early Childhood Education
We are proud to announce that three of our educators have been recognised for their exceptional contributions in the newly published National Quality Standards In Action resource book. The National Quality Standards set a high national benchmark, focusing on seven critical areas that support children’s social, emotional, spiritual and academic development.
On Tuesday 10 September, Lia Partington, Tanya Pavlovic, and Renae Armstrong were honoured at the book's official launch event. Their exemplary classroom practices were selected by a distinguished panel from numerous submissions statewide. Their work, along with articles and photographs, has been published in the resource book.
We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Lia, Tanya, and Renae for this prestigious recognition. Your dedication and commitment to nurturing the children in your care are inspiring, and we are delighted to see your efforts acknowledged at a state level.
Quality Time with Loved Ones
As we approach the holiday break, we hope that our students and their families take this opportunity to relax and rejuvenate. The holidays are a special time to unwind, enjoy quality moments with loved ones, and create lasting memories. Whether you’re traveling or staying local, we encourage everyone to take time for themselves and appreciate the simple joys of spending time with family and friends.
Looking Ahead
As we look forward to Term 4, we are excited about the upcoming projects and initiatives that will continue to enrich our students' learning experiences. Our commitment to providing a supportive and engaging educational environment remains strong, and we are eager to build on the successes of this term.
Thank you for your continued support and involvement in our school community. Your encouragement and participation are invaluable to our collective success.
Wishing everyone a restful and joyful holiday break!
Warm regards,
Andrew Gaudoin
