SEPTEMBER 20, 2024
From Mr. Sachtleben's Desk...
For our students, we are discussing with them the importance being on time to their bus at dismissal. The bell rings at 3:08pm and we aim to have the buses leave the property by 3:15 (they still must complete their elementary routes). We have told them that they must leave their class, get to their locker and gather their backpack and then head straight to their bus. Once the time is 3:15pm, all drivers will close their doors and prepare for departure. ONLY a staff member of Sells can dismiss the buses on each side of the building. Once the buses start rolling they will not stop for any student who may chase after their bus. This is a safety concern! We will not call the buses back either. It is imperative that students be timely with getting on their bus.
Our bus drivers are dedicated people who care for each of the students at Sells. They are the first person the students see each day and the last person they say goodbye to. I can't express enough how much I appreciate their work and dedication everyday. We have worked through several challenges and we keep growing our partnership. Thank you drivers!
Have a great weekend! Please do not hesitate to contact me here at school with any questions or concerns. Thank you!
Matt
