Freeing the Anxious Generation
Today’s kids are growing up in a “phone-based childhood” and it’s taking a toll on their mental health. Depression, anxiety, and loneliness are rising as screen time replaces face-to-face connection, sleep, and play. But parents aren’t powerless.
Our D33 Book Study with The Anxious Generation outlines four simple steps to push back:
- No smartphones before high school – Flip phones are back!
- No social media until at least age 16
- Advocate for phone-free schools. Kids focus better without the distractions.
- Encourage real-world independence and free play. Let them run errands, explore, and just be kids.
When families work together, change is possible - and healthier, happier kids are the result.
