Sycamore Junior High Family Communication
October 20, 2023
Aves,
We had a great week of learning and growing. Students have showed up as safe, respectful, responsible, and problem solvers! This weekend please be sure to check out Sycamore Junior High Theatre. Einstein's Brain opened last night at the High School and continues this weekend ONLY. We're moving into a four day week. Just a reminder that we have No school next Friday. Which means it's also the end of the Quarter. Please ensure your child's grades are up to date and accurately reflected. We encourage you to reach out to teachers to seek support and ask questions if needed.
Have a fantastic weekend. Go Aves!

Fall Recap
Sycamore Junior High had a memorable fall season winning 3 GMC Championships (girls’ gold tennis, 7th grade xc, and girl’s 8th gold volleyball) and almost winning two more! The girls’ golf team went undefeated, and the girls’ soccer team came within seconds of being undefeated. Boys’ soccer had 7 shutouts and only gave up 6 goals all season! As one of the smallest schools in the GMC, both football teams delivered on some surprising upsets. Our 7th grade XC is incredibly strong while at the same time we’ll be sending the high school some fantastic 8th grade runners. We are incredibly proud of our student athletes who remain competitive both in the classroom and on the field. Go Aves!
Lost and Found
The lost and found is full! We remind students on daily announcements to check the lost and found. We will move the lost and found to the main entrance on Thursday, October 26 and Friday, October 27 so that parents may look for missing items. Anything left unclaimed by 3pm Friday will be donated.
