Principal Message
Dear Parents and Guardians,
5 more days, 5 days and the kids are all yours for a while!
This week was full of events and learning. Mrs. Zadderey Principal of Grande Trunk High School came to visit the 3/4 class by their invitation. Student's had a chance to ask Mrs. Zadderey questions about the new school, but also asked lots of questions about her as a person. Also on Tuesday we had our trip to Evansburg Arena for skating, cookie decorating and fun in their gym. Thank you to everyone that came and helped. Wednesday we had our burger hot lunch combined with our monthly gym picnic lunch. Thursday was Christmas class day, and many classes have done additional crafts throughout the week. Students were also busy working on their learning and concert preparation.
Next week is also jam packed. Tuesday we will have our dress rehearsal. Wednesday night is our Christmas Concert. Doors open at 6:30 and the concert begins at 7pm. We look forward to having many of you join us. Thursday is our pancake breakfast put on by the school council, as well as our Christmas Sweater day. Friday is pajama day and we will have our annual popcorn and movie event. I have included a handy summary poster of next weeks events later in the newsletter.
If you have any questions or concerns you can always reach out to the school through the office or email me at alanstoy@gypsd.ca.
Sincerely,
Alan Stoyles
Principal

Spotlight on School Improvement: 90 Day Plans
The 90 day plan cycle used in GYPSD is a series of plans and goals for schools to focus on as we move forward with our school goals. For Wildwood School this year we identified a goal of "100% of students are achieving mastery of math at their academic level" as our goal. Our 1st 90 day plan is outlined below.
