What is a Compass??
A compass is a device that was made to help guide you using Earth's magnetic field to help you go where you need to be like a GPS.
How does a compass work
First you have to get out the compass. Then after you do that there is a arrow in the compass like you saw in the picture above. Then the arrow at a direction. The directions are North, South, East, West, Northeast, Northwest, Southwest, and Southeast.
The difference between a compass and a GPS
The difference between a compass and a GPS is that a compass uses the Earths magnetic field to point in a direction while a GPS uses a map to help guide you and does not use a magnetic field
