Jefferson Butterfly Bulletin
January 31st, 2025
Hello Jefferson Families,
I would like to introduce Grace Kilpatrick, our new Family Liaison. Mrs. Kilpatrick is available to support preschool families and strengthen Jefferson's partnerships with the community.
Registration for returning and new students is now open! We are asking all families with returning students to complete registration in PowerSchool by March 14th, 2025. By doing so, you will secure your child's enrollment for the 25-26 school year. Morning and afternoon placement will be on a first come first come basis and will be determined in the order in which registration is complete.
In addition, returning families need to schedule a parent interview and to submit proof of income. Please be certain to complete the Request for Parent Interview to schedule your parent interview and submit your proof of income to gkilpatrick@d64.org. Registration will be approved if/when you schedule a parent interview and submit proof of income.
2025-2026 Registration for New Students: Registration for new students will be approved after you and your child participate in a preschool screening. Please use the Google Form below if you would like to schedule a screening. Screenings are scheduled in the order in which they are received.
Earlier this month, we hosted a workshop on Kindergarten Transitions. The presentation and additional resources are linked below. If you have any questions regarding kindergarten transitions, please don't hesitate to reach out to me or your child's teacher.
We will be celebrating Random Acts of Week February 10th-13th. On February 13th we will hosting a kindness fair. Please see links below if you are interested in volunteering for this event!
Please join us for our next PAC meeting on February 4th from 5:30-7:00.
Warm regards,
Ms. Barkley

Enrollment for New Students
If you intend on enrolling another child for preschool at Jefferson for the remainder of the 24-25 school year or for the 25-26 school year, please complete the Jefferson Early Childhood Center Preschool Screening Questionnaire.
