Junior High Quiz Bowl Camp

Flu forms were sent home this week with RJHS students. If your child did not receive a form and you wish for them to have a flu shot, please notify the RJHS nurse. This year's flu clinic will be held on October 22, 2024. Both forms that were sent home, need to be signed and returned before that day for your child to receive the shot.

Our Colors Day ceremony and pep rally will begin at 2:00pm. Parents who are attending the pep rally will enter through the gym lobby doors.

NJHS t-shirt order forms were given out to members at our meeting. The order forms need to be returned along with payment in an envelope to a sponsor by Friday, Oct. 26.

Our next full group NJHS meeting will be on Friday, Nov. 8 in the cafeteria during 2nd period.

Participation Rules:

* Only 3 Book Talk tickets can be earned per subject or teacher, for a total of 15 bonus points EACH QUARTER to be used at the teacher’s discretion.

*Students can earn an extra ticket into the Monthly Reading Challenge by book talking books they have read off the Monthly challenge shelf or books that fit within the challenge for the month.

*Mrs. Baldwin has the ability to deny book talk tickets if she feels the student did not read the book; per her discretion.

The October Reading Callenge has started! Students can read a book that fits the monthly challenge and win this basket!

It is the goal of RJHS teachers and staff to keep student grades updated weekly for parents and guardians to stay aware of their child's/ children's progress throughout the semester. If you are having trouble accessing HAC (Home Access Center) you can email Jennifer Roberts for help with login credentials.

Student breakfast is free to all students

Student second breakfast is: $2.70

Free and reduced meals are all free to families

Student Paid Lunch Price: $3.25

Student Second Lunch is: $4.70

The RJHS Cafeteria offers a variety of ala carte items such a bottled drinks and pre-packaged snacks. Students WILL NOT be allowed to charge these items to their lunch account. They must have payment in hand to purchase these items from the RJHS cafeteria.

Reminder, Free and Reduced Lunch application do not automatically renew and must be completed each year. You can visit: https://linqconnect.com/public/meal-application/new to apply online.

RJHS students are issued at the beginning of this school year.. It is very important that students keep up with these ID badges throughout this school year. They will need them daily as a student at RJHS. These badges are used in the cafeteria to charge lunch accounts, in the library to check out books, and with our Technology department to check out and repair laptops. Please remind your student(s) to keep their ID badge with them in a safe place every day.

*Students will also be required to show their ID if they wish to get into any RSD athletic event for free.

9th grade students are required by the state to earn service hours by the end of the 24-25 school year.
