Mark your calendars for our Meet the Teacher Event, Thursday, August 15th! The schedule for that afternoon is Kinder to 2nd grade from 4PM-5PM and 3rd grade to 5th grade from 4:45PM-5:45PM. NISD Child Nutrition, NISD Transportation, and Learning Tree will be there to answer questions that afternoon. Also, bring cash with you to join the BSE PTA, only $10, and to purchase your BSE spirit shirts! We look forward to seeing you all on the 15th!

Remember as part of our school safety measures, parents need a pass to enter the campus in the mornings. Please don't wait until the first day of school, as the line will be long and delay your child's arrival on this important day.

Fast Passes are available starting today. A valid state issued ID is required and will be scanned to create the pass. If you have last year's badge holder, please bring it, so we can use it again for this year. Wear the BSE Fast Pass in a visible location while on campus so as not to delay your visit. Fast Passes are valid to get on campus in the mornings until 7:45 AM.

Northside continues to update our safety protocols. You will see SRP (Standard Response Protocol) posters on the campus. These are to create a common language around security levels. Also, all BSE exterior doors will be numbered and have alarms installed. The alarms will sound when doors are left open for more than 15 seconds. All exterior doors and adjacent glass will get bullet resistant film. I will be sharing updates as the school year progresses. Let us know if you don't need a new badge holder.

All campus volunteers are required to complete a background check before working at Braun Station Elementary. Additionally, parents who like to chaperon during a fieldtrip will need a background check as well. Make sure that you select Braun Station Elementary, so that you will be on our cleared volunteer list. Background checks can take several weeks, don't wait until it's too late.
