A Reminder About End of the Day Pickup Procedures
We would like to kindly remind all families of our school’s dismissal procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of all students.
For the safety of everyone, students must be picked up through the designated car pickup line and in the loading zones. Students are not permitted to walk into the parking lot to be picked up, nor are they allowed to be picked up in the new parking lot near the ELC lot. These areas are not safe for student pickup, and your cooperation is essential in maintaining a secure environment for all.
We also ask for your patience and kindness during dismissal. As the parking lot can become congested with parents picking up their children and others leaving the lot, we kindly ask that you remain respectful and considerate of others. A little extra patience and courtesy goes a long way in making the process smoother for everyone.
By following the designated routes we can ensure a safe and pleasant experience for all.
Thank you for your understanding and support. We appreciate your continued commitment to keeping our school community safe.
Last Call to Donate Toys for Alexian Brothers Hospital
The BHS FIRST Tech Challenge Robotics Team is holding a toy drive to benefit kids who are patients at Alexian Brothers. There will be a box in our office vestibule as well as near the activities entrance to collect new toys in their original packages. (No clothing, stuffed animals or violently-themed toys please.)
The box will be available between 12/6 and 12/20.

Run, Don't Walk, to Deliver Treats to the Prairie Staff!
The PTO needs your help putting together a Prairie staff favorite event: the dessert raffle! Sign up here to bring in a homemade OR store bought confection. On December 20th, Mr. Lobbins will draw names all day long for staff members to run (not walk!) to the Principal’s office to pick out a delicious treat. Nothing says happy holidays like a competitive dessert raffle!
Winterfest at BHS
Come on out to Winterfest at BHS to enjoy the sights and sounds of the season. Organizations, clubs and activities from throughout Barrington 220 will be featured at Winterfest on December 13th and 14th. Our very own Prairie students have been hand-crafting decorations for our Prairie tree - be sure to check it out on your way into the festivities! Tickets can be purchased here.
