Welcome to the 2024-2025 School Year!

We are thrilled to welcome everyone back for another exciting year of growth and success. Please join us on Monday, August 26, 2024, from 4:00 to 5:30 p.m. for an opportunity to visit your classroom, meet your teacher, and connect with classmates. The first day of school is Tuesday, August 27, 2024, with classes starting at 8:25 a.m. and an early dismissal at 11:29 a.m.

School Hours:

- Full Day: 8:25 a.m. - 3:15 p.m.

- Half Day: 8:25 a.m. - 11:29 a.m.

As you enjoy these final weeks of summer, we encourage you to begin preparing for the upcoming school year. Here are a few important reminders to help you get started:

• Teacher Assignments: You will receive an email with your child's teacher assignment after 3 p.m. on Thursday, August 22.
• School Supply Lists: Suggested supply lists are available on our school website.
• Forms: Please log into your PowerSchool account to review and complete the following forms under the "Forms" section: 1. Student Address, Student Contacts, and Health Information 2. Parent-Student Handbook 3. Technology Device Use Agreement 4. Technology Device Insurance Opportunity (due September 6)
• School Meals: Breakfast is free through the State of Michigan and will be available starting at 8:10 a.m.
• Volunteer Forms: A volunteer form must be completed annually. If you have children in more than one school, only one form is needed.
• Medical and Dietary Forms: Please ensure that all medical and dietary forms are completed each year, especially if your child has known food allergies.
• MMA Committee: Join an MMA Committee.

The cost of device insurance is $20.00 per student. The initial fee to purchase device insurance can be paid online using your checking account, debit card or credit card through PaySchools.

Note to kindergarten families and families new to the district - You will need to first create the PaySchools account for your family.

• Complete the account registration by selecting register, enter your profile details, setting up your password via the email link that will be sent to you, then logging in.
• Add your children to your account using their student ID numbers. ID numbers are found in PowerSchool, and on their report card available through PowerSchool.
• If you like, enter credit card and/or banking information as forms of payments to use with your PaySchools account.

Please note that the final date to enroll in the optional device insurance plan is Friday, September 6th.

We take food allergies and student safety very seriously. If your student has any food allergies, please have your physician fill out the MDE Dietary Needs Form and return it to the food service office. Because allergies can change, you MUST fill out a new form EVERY YEAR.

• Glow Run
• In the gym, lights low and wear your glow.
• Teachers will receive 10% of the proceeds from their class donations.
• Flat rate this year instead of counting laps.
• We will be tracking our steps/ miles to keep it competitive.
• Each student will receive a tracker and a T-shirt.
• Top student with donations will be able to be principal for a day.
• The top class will earn a pizza party with the principal.

The first few weeks of school are the most challenging as we get back into the lunch and recess routine, especially with our kindergarteners. If you are interested in becoming a supervisor, or willing to volunteer, please contact our office.
