We Live the Word!
From the Principal's Desk
As we come to the conclusion of Teacher Appreciation Week, I want to take this opportunity to thank all of the teachers and staff who make Father Doyle School the special institution that it is. I am inspired daily by their dedication, creativity, and passion.
Speaking to his players prior to the 1980 Olympic Games, hockey coach Herb Brooks looked at each of his players and remarked "you were born to be hockey players, each and every one of you." When I walk the halls of Father Doyle School, I cannot help but think the same about our teachers and staff, that deep down they were always meant to be educators. Indeed, there is no doubt that teaching in a Catholic school is a unique calling, and I will always be grateful for the way in which our teachers and staff answer that call every day. Thank you for helping us celebrate them all week!
Third trimester continues to fly by, and we're looking forward to an awesome last five weeks of the school year. We've got lots great things planned from Breakfast with the Principal to our annual Field Day! Please keep reading below for more information on all upcoming events!
Lastly, as we enter the final few weeks of school please note the following cell phone and electronics policy from the Father Doyle School Student Handbook:
"Students are not allowed to use cell phones in the classroom. Cell phones are allowed for emergency use only. They must remain turned off in lockers or backpacks unless permission for use has been given by a teacher or administrator. Students found in possession of their cell phone without school permission will have the phone taken away. Arrangements must be made with an administrator for its return."
Thank you for your assistance in supporting these policies!

An Invitation from Fr. Woolley - 25th Anniversary of Ordination Mass and Dinner
Dear Fr. John V. Doyle Families,
You are all cordially invited to my 25th Anniversary of Ordination Mass and Dinner, Sunday June 2, the Solemnity of Corpus Christi, at 2pm, here at Ss. John and Paul Church, with Dinner Reception to follow at the Quonset O Club. The actual anniversary date of my ordination is June 26 (the Feast of Ss. John and Paul!), 1999, but as this year's Ordination of Priests for our Diocese is again at the end of June, so as not to conflict with it, I thought it best to celebrate my 25th earlier in the month. I hope you and your family can attend the Mass and/or the Dinner! Tickets for the Dinner can be purchased here: bit.ly/FrWoolley25
God Bless,
Fr. Woolley
As always, be assured of my prayers for you and your families.
God bless and Go Saints!
Sincerely,
Mr. Peloquin

Photos from the Week
As part of Teacher Appreciation Week, teachers received new Stanley Cups! Here's to hoping the Bruins are taking home a Stanley Cup soon too!
8th Grade Portraits were sent to our eighth grade families this week. They came out great! This is such a special FJVD tradition.
We're still working hard in 1st grade! Thank you, Mr. Geoffroy, for all of your energy and enthusiasm!
