LAST MONTH AT A GLANCE
Talk about a busy month! Thank you to everyone for being so flexible with our library schedule. As students geared up for STAAR, we engaged our minds in critical thinking with Domino and Rubik's Cube challenges once again. Younger students practiced reading aloud to their book buddies, reminding them that you don't have to be a good reader to be a good storyteller. This year, our goal is to help students learn that read-alouds can be fun and engaging.
Dream Come True!
This past month, I was able to attend the TLA conference to continue my education and learn the latest and greatest offerings in our library world to enhance our program. Not only did I attend great sessions, but I also had the opportunity to meet my favorite TikTok librarian and many authors. Talk about a librarian's dream come true!

THIS MONTH AT A GLANCE
Sink Your Teeth into Reading: Library Shark Month!
As we enter the final month of the school year, we're thrilled to kick off Shark Month! Students will get the opportunity to explore various stations and activities focusing on sharks. Teachers can utilize the OPEN library time to send students with a library pass specifically marked for Shark Stations. Please indicate the time the student is needed back in class on the library pass.
Book Return Promotion
It's the end of the school year and your help is needed to promote the book return challenge. It would be totally awesome if we could have ALL our library books back on the shelves before summer begins. Check Google Slides daily to see if your class is in the lead. The first class (including teachers) per grade level to turn in ALL their books will win popsicles for their class.
Contest begins May 13th!
