Wow! The summer has definitely flown by very quickly! Please enjoy the photos and memories in the photos attached in our S'more! We are so grateful to work with your Children! Please take note of the information in this newsletter it will provide you information about our Back to School Night, start of school, Early Dismissal Sign-ups, and any other information needed to start of the new school year! We have many new families joining GEARS Kids Center from Preschool to 5th grade this school year. Any questions about the new school year can be directed to our office at the GEARS Community Center. Kelly and I would be glad to answer any questions you may have for the start of the new school year. Our emails are listed at the bottom of the S'more. Please look for a link at the end of the month for a "GEARS Summer Camp" survey. Thank you in advance as we welcome thoughts on how we can continue to create memorable moments for your children.
A few reminders for the new school year, for Preschool and Kindergarten please be sure to send in water bottles (water only), a set of clothes in case of spills or accidents, lunch bags, and nap items (Preschool only).
A few events coming up at the end of August and into September:
Back to School Night will be held on Friday, August 23rd from 3-5 pm. This is for new families and current families. Come out and say hello to our staff, pick up some back to school information and enjoy some Kona Ice!
The Elizabethtown Fair will be the week of August 19th. Look for the GEARS table in the barn near the Kiwanis Club Stage. Stop and say hello, we have treats for the kids!
GEARS will be closed on Monday, September 2nd in observance of Labor Day.
For our new GEARS parents, be advised that Kids Center asks for all parents to sign-up their child for all Early Dismissals and Non-School Days. We provide a Google links weeks prior to the Early release and the days school is closed. See the links below for the first week of school. Monday, August 26th will be an Early Dismissal and Friday. August 30th will be a non-school day. If your child is not on the list for these days; GEARS Kids Center cannot assure your child's attendance.
