Hello FUSD Staff and Community,

I am thrilled to announce that FUSD will offer extended day kindergarten starting in the 2023-24 school year. Our outstanding educators will use this extended instructional time to further develop the academic and social skills of each kindergarten student.


Starting next year, kindergarten start times will match or closely align to the schedule for grades 1-5 at each school, and all elementary schools in FUSD will offer expanded day care to serve students after school hours.

Reminder: Spring Forward

Daylight Saving Time begins this weekend. Remember to adjust clocks forward one hour on Sunday, March 12.

Parent/Family LCAP Survey 2023

The Fremont Unified School District values the input of our parents. Every year our school district gathers input to inform the writing of our Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP) and this year we ask that you please complete the survey to help inform our work.


The survey window will remain open through March 14, 2023.

March 17: No School for Students

Reminder: Friday, March 17 is a non-school day for FUSD students. We wish our students a great day off!

March 29 Spring Into STEAM Event

The City of Fremont is hosting a Spring into STEAM event on Wednesday, March 29 from 4-8pm at the Downtown Event Center.


FUSD’s 5th Grade Science Fair winning projects will be showcased, and attendees at this free event will be able to participate in fun STEAM activities.

2023-24 New Student Enrollment Open Now

Transitional kindergarten (TK), kindergarten, sibling priority and other new student enrollment for the 2023-24 school year is open now at www.fremont.k12.ca.us/enrollment.


Eligibility for transitional kindergarten is expanding: children who will be 5 years old between September 2, 2023 and April 2, 2024 can enroll in this free program for 2023-24 to get a head start in school and build their social, communication and independence skills.


If your student is currently attending an FUSD school in grades TK-11, there is no need to re-enroll.
