CES Archery Team Finishes Strong at Nationals!

The CES Aviator archery team is home from Louisville, KY. What an unbelievable experience! Our program is in its 2nd year, and these amazing Aviators finished 17th out of 199 elementary schools competing and had the highest score the team has accomplished to date. That is a top 10% finish! More than points or placement, these students showed class, passion, persistence, and support and love for each other that is rare! They have built a legacy for future aviators! I’m so incredibly proud of these students - their patience, collaboration, tenacity and character are unmatched. To our coaches -Gantt and Thompson. You both deserve all the thanks and praise. Without your leadership, skill-building, numerous after school practices, and personal sacrifice, this would not have been possible. And to our families and community. Thank you for investing in our students in every way. Your support, financial and otherwise, made it all possible. I am eternally grateful for all of you. In my career, I’ve been a principal for 5 schools over 15 years and this has to be one of the best and most incredible experiences I’ve ever been a part of. Once an Aviator, always an Aviator. The best is yet to come!
