Family Communication

Once school starts, we'll send Trail Talk to families via School Messenger emails each Sunday afternoon.

It will contain upcoming events, important information, and celebrations.

Bison Bootcamp Survey

If you attended the 6th Grade Parent Bootcamp, please take a minute to let us know what you thought of the event.

Online Registration is CLOSED

If families have not completed online registration, unfortunately, we will not have a schedule ready for pick-up.
We can help families beginning 8/12 with registration needs and schedules.

Schedule Pick-up

Schedule Pick-up is just around the corner. Families will be able to pick up student schedules, practice lockers, meet one of their teachers, and walk the building.

7th & 8th Grade - Wednesday, August 7th from 1:00-7:00
8th graders must have updated immunizations to receive a schedule.
6th Grade - Thursday, August 8th from 1:00-7:00

Online registration must be completed, including being current on immunizations and proof of residency verified, and any outstanding fines must be paid in order to receive a schedule.

Lockers

Students are welcome to decorate the INSIDE of their locker using magnets or sticky-tack.

Please do not use tape or other adhesive strips.

Building Access:

If students are entering the building for Schedule Pick-up or to walk their schedules, they MUST be accompanied by an adult at all times.

Back-to-School Night (for parents/caregivers)

Thursday, August 22nd

6:00PM-7:30PM

Parents and guardians will follow their student's schedule, meet teachers, and get a feel for a day-in-the-life of their middle schooler.
Please arrive early and allow time to find your student's Homeroom class. Classes start at 6:00 PM.
We will have your student's schedule available for you.
This is not an event for students.

New Student Passwords

Here are some steps if your student is having trouble using their new password.

Completely restart or shut down their chromebook (not just closing the lid)
Once they log in, if they can't access some things on chrome (like final form), they need to clear cache/cookies and restart. It's probably a good idea to clear cache anyway before school starts.

Open chrome.
At the top right, click the 3 dots, and then Delete browsing data.
Time frame should be "all time" and check (cookies and other site data) and (and cached images and files). Then click "clear data"
And restart chromebook
When you log back in, give it about 5-10 minutes to sync the data before opening chrome again.

Bison Theatre Announces the production, Wizard of OZ: Youth Edition this Fall 2024 at ETMS.

ETMS SRO Sims

Officer Sims was recognized by the Lee's Summit Police Department for his life saving actions. Last year, he performed the heimlich maneuver on a student who was choking at lunch. Officer Sims' quick thinking and actions helped save an ETMS student.
