Volume 3 ~ Issue 13 ~ Week of October 27, 2024
💛 Message from the Principal 💛
Great job to all the Vikings who participated in the spirit week and Halloween costume contest last week! It's always so fun to see our students dressed up and having fun!! Did you miss out?? Don't worry, you'll have another opportunity this Thursday! See details in the ad below.
It's Progress Report Week!! Most teachers had their cutoff deadline last Friday for the last day you could turn in work. This will be the last progress report of the semester, as the next one is the Report Card on the last day of Semester 1. This means you have 7 weeks left in the first semester to get your grades squared away. Remember, all students must pass all of their classes in order to participate in the 8th grade promotion ceremony in June.
Congratulations to Mr. Ezell's Period 3 class for winning Music Monday last week! 🎶 Will your advisory be the winner this week?!? 😉
Let's make it a great week, Vikings!! 💛

Progress Report #2 comes out this Friday, 11/1
Parents/Guardians, students will receive printed copies of their Progress Reports during last period this Friday. Please remind them to show you when they get home. You can also log into Infinite Portal to view your child's Progress Report there.
This progress report signifies the results of the past 6-7 weeks of work. If you are not pleased with the grades reflected on the Progress Report, you have 7 weeks left to improve. First, take some time to discuss the report with your child to understand their perspective on their performance. Encourage them to attend before or after-school tutoring, ask for help from teachers, and set small, manageable goals to address areas of concern.
On the other hand, if your child is doing well, celebrate their achievements! Positive reinforcement goes a long way in motivating students to keep up the good work. Consider setting new goals to maintain or even improve their progress, and continue to encourage good study habits and organization. Whether the grades are high or lower than expected, we are here to support every student on their path to success.
