A Note From the Office
Dear Parents/Guardians,
We have really enjoyed having parents and families in the building this week for conferences! Students have been so excited to show off their hard work and progress from the first quarter! If you were not able to schedule a conference for these past few weeks, please contact your child's teacher and they will find a time to meet with you.
Our first Pod Party is underway tomorrow for Irrawaddy. They will play games, play on an inflatable, and enjoy snow cones in the afternoon in celebration of great choices and behavior during the first quarter. We will also have our October Rally in the morning to honor students that have stood our for great character during the last month.
We want to thank the PTA for all of their hard work with our first fundraiser of the year and for purchasing Disney our very own Snow Cone Machine. This will be used for many celebrations and fun events for years to come!
Wishing everyone a happy fall and a great second quarter!

PTA Clothing Bank
We want to show our Dolphin best by volunteering at The PTA Clothing Bank November 7th! The PTA Clothing Bank is a free clothing resource for any student of Springfield Public Schools, MO. They've helped over 1,000 students this year!
When: November 7th anytime between 9 AM to 4:30 PM
What we can do: We will help sort donations, hang clothes on hangers, get things out on the shopping racks, straighten the shopping floor, or help with projects, etc.
Where: 2343 W Olive St, Springfield, MO 65802
Volunteers will go to door #13 on the northeast side of Study
Let's volunteer together and make the experience even more rewarding! We are looking for a minimum of 4 cumulative hours of volunteer time but the more the better! If we get 4 people to each volunteer for 1 hour spot we will have reached our goal! So share this and bring a friend and see how many hours we can get!!
Help Give Hope for Christmas
Don't Forget to Check the Lost and Found!
The lost and found is OVERFLOWING! Please stop in and check if you recognize any clothing while you are here for parent-teacher conferences. The clothing will be donated at the end of conference week.
CELEBRATE YOUR CHILD'S BIRTHDAY ON THE MARQUEE THIS YEAR
Marquee Birthday Message
We want to help you celebrate your child's birthday this year in style. As a reminder, NO FOOD ITEMS MAY BE BROUGHT FOR STUDENTS TO CELEBRATE BIRTHDAYS. FOOD ITEMS WILL BE TURNED AWAY AT THE OFFICE. NO EXCEPTIONS.
HOWEVER, we know birthdays are special. You can purchase a birthday message to your child to be displayed on our Disney marquee for $5. If you use the Google link below, it will walk you through how to celebrate your child!
1. All requests MUST be complete and paid for by the 25th of each month! So, if your child has an October birthday, please submit forms and payment by September 25th!
2. If your child's birthday was in August or over the summer, no worries! We are happy to celebrate a 1/2 birthday! If you prefer to celebrate on their actual birthday, Ms. Shayla will be here all summer and we would be happy to run their birthday wish in the summer months, as well.
Please complete the Google Form HERE. The link to the MySchoolBucks Payment Center is located within the Google Form. If you have any questions, please call the office.

Nutrition Information
Breakfast and lunch is available for all students. We HIGHLY encourage ALL families to take the time to complete the Free and Reduced Lunch form. We understand many families feel they may not qualify, but it does provide information for the state regarding our families' needs in our area. The federal and state education department provide funding based on these numbers. Although it seems cumbersome, we ask that you continue to help Disney receive the appropriate amount of funding per student by completing this form. Application for Free/Reduced Meals HERE
Meal Prices & Payment Options
Breakfast, lunch prices can be found on www.sps.org under the Parents/Guardians tab, then choose Nutrition. The menu choices are found on the right. This is also where students can view lunch menus and parents can make payments.
I have included a link HERE.
