The DeKalb County School District (DCSD) will administer the new Digital PSAT/NMSQT to all 10th grade students on Wednesday, October 23, 2024 @ 8am. The Georgia Department of Education (GaDOE) will pay for all 10th grade students in the state of Georgia to take the PSAT/NMSQT. 10th grade students will automatically be registered for the exam, and no other action is required. Students in grades 9, 11, and 12 who want to participate in the PSAT/NMSQT administration may do so. However, parent(s) must pay the required College Board fee of $20.00 plus a processing fee of $1.10. CLICK HERE to register .

On the last Friday of each month, AMHS students earn a Spirit Day when they are able to follow school rules; for example get to class on time, dress in the AMHS Uniform, pick up after themselves in the cafeteria, etc.. Spirit Days are a privilege and not a right. Students can wear black or blue jeans (no holes, rips or tears and no sweatpants or leggings) with a Spirit Shirt to school on Spirit Days. In an effort to promote school spirit and have more students participate in our Spirit Days, we will be selling Spirit Shirts during lunches this week. Parents are welcome to purchase shirts as well. The cost of each shirt is $20 and payments can be made in cash only. Students who choose not to wear a Spirit Shirt with school appropriate jeans should wear their school uniform to school.

Cady Studios will be on the campus of AMHS October 4th to take senior portraits and to retake cap and gown photos with the official AMHS stole.

If your senior has already taken their portraits and would like to retake to include full AMHS graduation regalia please come photo ready on Oct. 4th. No scheduling is necessary.

Exciting News: Launch of SAT Prep Course!

We are excited to introduce our new SAT Prep Course, designed to help students reach their full potential on the SAT exam. This comprehensive program covers all major sections of the test, including Math, Evidence-Based Reading, and Writing, equipping students with the skills and strategies they need to succeed.

Please note that seating is limited. Student Consent Forms are due Wednesday, September 25, 2024. We encourage students to apply early to secure their spot!

Parents can connect to our new learning management system, Canvas. To access your student's Canvas account, you must first create an account and log in through a desktop or laptop device. Below is a tutorial link to help walk you through the process of gaining parental access. 💡Once connected, parents are able to view their student's courses. This will help you to view your student's course material and help them to meet deadlines.
