Principal's Message
We are working on rolling out a revised version of Tiger Time next week, offering students who are passing all their classes with C's or better, and are in good standing (no outstanding discipline) the chance to choose how they spend their Tiger Time (designated Flex spaces around campus where they can work, listen to music, use their phones, socialize, etc) as they have earned the privilege. Those with D's or F's will report to their requesting teacher, or stay in 2nd period for a quiet study hall. Future versions of Tiger Time could include tutoring centers, small group supports, and more. Additional details will shared in next week's news letter.
We are in the planning stages of a Fall Parent Night (connected to conferences) to connect our families to BGHS, share our mission/vision, school improvement plan, and offer supports for parents. More info to come soon!
Thank you for your support, and as always, please reach out with any questions, concerns, or celebrations you have! Have a beautiful week!
Best,
Heather Ichimura
Proud BGHS Principal

Parking Pass Enforcement Reminder
We will be enforcing our parking permit policy. Any student parking on campus must have purchased a parking tag for a specific lot, and hang the tag from their mirror. Students without parking passes will be fined and asked to move their car off campus. We have limited parking spots on campus, and it's important we reserve those spaces for students who have purchased a parking permit

District News
Bus routes posted and FirstView mobile app
Bus routes are now available online. For questions about school district bus service, call your school or First Student at 360-841-7099, ext. 103 or 104. Please be aware that the first several weeks of school can often see changes to routes as First Student makes adjustments. Any changes impacting riders will be communicated by your child’s school.
Due to road construction in many areas of the district, some buses may need to take a detour and/or may be delayed. For the most up-to-date route information, late alerts, notifications when your student is close to home, etc., we strongly recommend installing the FirstView mobile app, available through the Apple App Store and Google Play. PLEASE NOTE: The district code has changed this year. To use the app, enter the four-digit code LMWV. Get instructions for installing the app.
