This program is only offered at designated NEISD schools that are eligible to participate in this initiative funded by the US Department of Agriculture. So, if your student transfers to a non-CEP campus, you will need to fill out a free meal application and be approved in order to receive similar meal benefits.
Campus Safety
The following measures are in place to provide safety to the JMHS campus and AMP Complex:
- NEISD has a closed campus policy. Students cannot leave campus during school hours, including lunchtime, without authorization from a parent/guardian, school administration, and obtaining a pass from the attendance office.
- All perimeter fencing gates and exterior doors will be locked and/or monitored during the school day. Parents/guardians or visitors arriving on campus during the school day should report to the James Madison HS main office or AMP Administration office to be checked in by administration.

AMP Complex Gate Access, Speed Limit, Traffic Pattern and Student Parking
As school begins, it can be expected that the volume of traffic on the AMP Complex will increase. All drivers (parents, guardians, students) are reminded that the speed limit on the AMP Complex is 10 MPH.
Drivers should be attentive when driving in and around the livestock project centers for pedestrian traffic and should only park vehicles in appropriate parking areas. Also, please stay to the right (counter-clockwise) when using the circular roadway between the project centers when entering and exiting.
The AMP Complex gate at O’Connor Road will be opened for general traffic from 7:00AM to 9:00AM and 4:00PM to 7:00PM Monday through Friday.
Lastly, student parking during the school year will be in the parking lot that is adjacent to the goat project center.
The following guidelines will be used to issue AMP Parking Permits:
- The AMP student must be a paid FFA member for the 2023-2024 school year. FFA dues are $20.00.
- First priority will be given to AMP students that are raising a livestock project and/or are a FFA chapter officer.
- Second priority will be given to AMP students that are Seniors.
- Third priority will be given to AMP students that are Juniors.
- If space is available, last priority will be given to AMP students that are Sophomores.
- AMP students must have a valid driver license and current car insurance to receive a permit.
- Parking permits will cost $30.00.
The AMP Parking Permit application is an online process and can be accessed below.
AMP Parking Permit Application
Students needing to purchase an AMP parking permit for the 2023-2024 school year, must complete the online form below. In the form, you will upload your valid driver's license, vehicle insurance, and parking permit application. Students with a learner's permit are not able to apply for a parking permit.
Steps to acquiring a parking permit:
- Complete the online AMP Parking Permit Application.
- Students approved for a parking permit will receive the online payment link (through SchoolCashOnline) sent to their NEISD student email account after they have been verified by Mrs. Cooper.
- Upon payment of the parking permit, students can submit the AMP Parking Permit Rules and Regulations in the AMP office and will then receive their parking permit.
Important Information:
- If necessary, students may also bring in cash or check, made payable to James Madison FFA, to Mrs Cooper in the AMP Admin office.
- Seniors who are interested in reserving a parking spot in addition to their parking permit will need to submit the Personalized Senior Parking Application to the AMP Admin Office with $50 cash/check. This application will be available on August 14th in the AMP Admin Office. The design application must be approved before a parking spot will be assigned to the student. Any senior who chooses to paint their spot MUST paint their spot BLACK before graduation in the spring.
- Students need to be clear of all AMP obligations to purchase a parking permit for the 2023-2024 school year.
- AMP Parking Permit applications will not be approved until the 2nd week of school. There will be a two week grace period from the first day of school for students to obtain a parking permit.
- Please contact Mrs. Cooper (ncoope@neisd.net) if you have any questions about the process.

Parents/guardians can support the James Madison FFA Booster Club by making the AMP a family experience. This can be done through a variety of means such as volunteering of your time and talents, introducing the FFA Booster Club to corporate sponsors, or financially supporting the FFA Booster Club with donations or purchasing merchandise.
The first general meeting of the James Madison FFA Booster Club will be held on Tuesday, September 5th at 6:30PM at the AMP Complex.
All parents/guardians are highly encouraged to sign up for the FFA Booster Club email distribution list by clicking HERE.
